Adnan and Faisal began their journey in 2016 with a group of close friends to play cricket. Thus, the "Avengers Cricket Club" was formed. However, for Adnan and Faisal, this didn't seem enough. The idea of playing as a team did not seem to satisfy their passion for the great sport of cricket. Therefore, they decided that they were going to do much more than just playing cricket. They teamed up wit
h six certified coaches from the club who complete their courses with the club and formed their own c**t section, which was designed to help children with physical, mental and lifestyle issues. To do this, they ran leadership workshops to train children about the importance of fitness and how cricket could help them achieve those goals. Adnan is a participants of ECB's National Program to involve children in their local community and even adults from the Waltham Forest Neighborhood. Their priority was, and is, to give an opportunity to their local community to not only enjoy sports, but to also keep children away from criminal activities. This way, they were able to transform the children into better versions of themselves, which in turn would enrich society and make a positive impact. Time has certainly flown, and we can now see the results. We at Acc have pure dedication and passion of the "Avengers" team. Even though they have faced adversity from the local authorities, who are supposed to be intended to support and facilitate our communities, they have nevertheless continued to perform to the best of their abilities. With these limited opportunities, the "ACC" team, with Adnan and Friends, are still striving towards their goal of making a difference and keeping their community strong, connected, and crime free – like one big, happy family. They look forward to seeing more support, not only from our community, but also from the officials that can partner up with them in this great cause.
