Whether you’re grieving the loss of a pet after euthanasia, your cat has gone missing or you’ve had to separate for other circumstances, a call to the Paws to Listen service may make all the difference.

Our dedicated volunteer listeners are on hand for when you need support. While we’re unable to offer counselling, we can offer a sympathetic ear at a difficult time.

Looking to spoil a lovable kitty in our care? You can now send them a little something special through our Amazon Wishlist! - https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/GPBNHZS94STW?ref_=wl_share

We care for all kinds of cats: from those waiting for their forever home on our website to strays, ferals, and even some special cases who aren't quite ready for adoption yet.

Every toy, blanket, and cat scratcher you send is a purrfect gift! Items donated through the Wishlist go directly to the cats in our care, and don't get reused when they find their forever home. Those goodies go with them to help them settle in comfortably.

🐱✨ June is Microchipping Month! ✨🐱

Your cat may have nine lives, but they only have one home, and microchipping is the best way to make sure they always find their way back to it!

June is all about raising awareness for microchipping, a simple, safe, and effective way to keep your feline friend protected. Whether your cat is an indoor cuddle bug or an adventurous explorer, a microchip ensures they can be identified and reunited with you if they ever get lost.

💡 Did you know? ✔️ Microchipping takes just seconds and is painless for your pet. ✔️ Unlike collars or tags, it never falls off or gets lost. ✔️ Shelters and vets use microchip scanners to help reunite lost pets with their owners.

This June, make sure your cat is chipped and registered with up-to-date contact details. It’s a small step with a big impact for your furry family member!

🐾 Tag a fellow cat lover to spread the word! 🐾

We need to talk about the litter tray… 🚽🚽🚽

It’s time to understand the reasons why your cat may be turning their paws in the opposite direction when it comes to their litter tray.

Firstly, we always recommend talking with your vet to rule out any health concerns.

Next, we need to determine what’s wrong with their litter tray. Cats are very clean animals and feel vulnerable when they toilet. So, if the litter tray doesn’t feel safe, clean, correctly sized or using their preferred litter, they will search out a new spot to do their business.

Meet Rosie – our sweet little black-and-white mouse chaser! 🐭🖤

Rosie is a cute, affectionate six-year-old girl who loves nothing more than playing with her toy mouse and curling up nearby once she’s had some fun. When she’s happy and relaxed, she’ll treat you to her lovely, gentle purr.

She can be a bit shy at first, so Rosie is looking for a quiet, calm home where she can settle in at her own pace, with someone around for most of the time to help her feel safe and build her confidence.

If you’re looking for a sweet companion and can offer Rosie the peaceful forever home she deserves, she’d love to meet you. 💛

Did you know that around 90% of cats aged over 12 years old will have some degree of arthritis detectable on X-rays? The pain of this can go unnoticed as cats are so good at hiding discomfort. 💛 Loneliness Awareness Week is a reminder that connection matters to people and to pets too.

At Cats Protection, we know that a cat’s companionship can bring comfort, routine and a much-needed sense of friendship to everyday life. For many people, that gentle purr, quiet presence and daily care can make a real difference. 🐾

Whether it’s through adopting, volunteering, fostering or supporting our work, every act of kindness helps create more moments of connection in our community.

If you’d like to make a difference this week, please consider supporting Sutton & Kingston Cats Protection and helping us bring cats and people together. 💛
