It is over 25 years since the fall of communism in Romania and although the country is thriving in lots of ways, there are still large numbers of people living in poverty, especially in the villages. Access to health care costs money so many poor people don't visit their doctor when they are ill as they know they can't afford the money to pay for tests and medication. There are many young people f
rom poor families who don't attend High School as they need to provide their own books and equipment. Sadly there is evidence to show that more disillusioned people are seeking a better life abroad. Choc4Change puts young people at the heart of positive change and aims to raise awareness and funds for Romanian children. This is in order to aid their daily lives, health, sanitation and education. Through this process our goal is to make young peoples lives feel valued and where small actions can bring big change. We are currently supporting Vision Romania and GNfR (Good News For Romania) as our two main charities.
