Futures For All

Futures For All We are the UK’s leading social mobility charity. But we are not stopping there. Talent is everywhere across this country, but opportunity is not.

Welcome to Futures For All (formerly Speakers for Schools) – a non-profit charity helping state-educated students access work experience and inspirational talks. Since 2010, when we were founded by ITV’s Political Editor Robert Peston, we have been working hard to support 1.7 million young people from state schools and colleges across the country. Fresh from celebrating our 15-year anniversary, we

are now looking forward to September 2025, when we will change our name to Futures For All, to better represent the breadth of what we do – while maintaining our renowned Speakers for Schools programme of free inspirational talks. Our commitment is clear – we want to ramp up our support for state schools and colleges to ensure that, by 2028, every young person has access to fully funded, high-quality work experience. It’s time to put that right. To do that we need prominent employers, influential speakers and committed supporters like you. Are you ready to ensure fair and secure Futures For All? Join us in our mission.

We’ve just published the second edition of our impact-focused blog series, Futures & Findings! 🌱

This spring, we reached an amazing 62,748 young people through our Work Experience and Speakers for Schools programmes.

Here is just a glimpse of the impact we are making together:
✨ 94% of participants left our Work Experience placements with a better understanding of the skills employers look for.
✨Following an inspirational talk, 81% of young people felt they could achieve whatever career they set their mind to.
✨ From exploring animal conservation during a virtual zookeeping placement with Flamingo Land Resort, to discussing the future of AI with Google's Zahaan Bharmal, students are discovering pathways they never knew existed.

A huge thank you to our incredible network of educators, speakers, and partner employers for making these horizon-widening moments possible.

In May 2026, young people stepped behind-the-scenes of the iconic Victoria and Albert Museum for an immersive 5-day work experience. With a full programme of talks, gallery tours and practical activities across departments, young people explored the many roles that bring museums to life while developing skills for their future careers. 🙌

"Work experience can inspire and shape young people from the very beginning of the career. There’s that old saying ‘you can’t be it if you can’t see it’ and at the V&A and the creative/cultural sector more broadly there are so many hidden roles that many students wouldn’t know about unless exposed to it through a work experience opportunity like this.” -
Lily Towers, Talent and Skills, Early Careers Advisor, V&A

The work experience marked the V&A’s first multi-site programme across South Kensington and V&A East - both the Storehouse, and the exciting new Museum!
