Our Champion of Care campaign is underway, bringing people and organisations together to support care workers and keep the momentum going.

Here’s how it works:

🧡 Nominate someone else to take part
🧡 Help us build a chain of support for care workers facing crisis

Our goal is to reach 500 people and organisations, each playing their part in making a difference.

Working Together for Change 🧡

The Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions Project gives care workers a dedicated space to share their experiences, raise the issues that matter most and help shape meaningful change across adult social care.

At bi-monthly meetings, members explore topics including workforce wellbeing, fair pay, recognition and professionalisation. Their insight directly informs The Care Workers’ Charity’s policy positions, campaigns and advocacy work.

The project also gives care workers a much-deserved seat at the table, with members contributing to high-stakes roundtables with organisations including DHSC, CQC and The Health Foundation, as well as contributing to academic research with Oxford University and Sheffield University.

Members have also helped bring the voice of care workers to national and international media, making sure their experiences and expertise are heard far beyond the project itself.

At the heart of the project is a simple belief: care workers are skilled professionals, and they deserve to be recognised, listened to and supported as such.

Together, we are helping build a fairer, stronger future for adult social care. 🙌

🧡 Professional Care Workers’ Week 2026 is coming! 🧡

From 14–18 September 2026, we’ll be celebrating the incredible contribution of care workers across the UK and bringing frontline voices to the heart of conversations about the future of adult social care.

Throughout the week, we’ll be hosting a fantastic programme of free online webinars and panels, bringing together care workers, sector leaders, policymakers, academics and experts to discuss the issues that matter most.

From fair pay and career opportunities to wellbeing, employment rights, migrant care workers’ rights, inclusion, delegated healthcare activities and the future of care, there’s something for everyone.

Whether you’re a care worker, care provider, policymaker, researcher or simply passionate about improving social care, we’d love you to join us!
