More than one in four children in the UK are growing up in poverty. It doesn’t have to be like this It doesn’t have to be like this.

Child Poverty Action Group works on behalf of the one in four children in the UK growing up in poverty. We use our understanding of what causes poverty and the impact it has on children’s lives to campaign for policies that will prevent and solve poverty – for good. We provide training, advice and information to make sure hard-up families get the financial support they need. We also carry out high profile legal work to establish and protect families’ rights.

From 5th to 18th October, we’re aiming for one shared total of 4 million steps for the 4 million children growing up in poverty. Walk wherever you’d like, ask friends and family to sponsor you and add your steps to our collective total.

We’re already seeing some of our incredible supporters across the UK getting ready to take part and we’d love for you to join us too.

Walk wherever you like, ask friends and family to sponsor you, and add your steps to the total. Every pound you raise will fund our work to help families access the support they need and campaign for changes that tackle child poverty.

It’s free to sign up, and there’s no minimum step target. We’ll also send you fundraising resources, a step tracker and a CPAG T-shirt or running vest once your fundraising page receives its first donation 👕

🔦Fundraiser spotlight🔦

One of our amazing fundraisers, Ann, took on the Round The Houses 10k race in Grangemouth. Ann raised an incredible £750, making a real difference to the lives of children and families living in poverty in the UK🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️

When asked why she decided to run for CPAG, Ann said:

“It’s not right that so many children in the UK live in poverty. I know CPAG can make a difference. That’s why I’m running 10k to raise money. You can help make a difference too, by making a donation“

Put on your running vest and take on the 2027 Bath Half for Team CPAG 🎽

Taking place on Sunday 14 March, the Bath Half is one of the UK’s most established road races, with thousands of runners take on the flat, picturesque course through the heart of Bath.
