The Matt Palmer Trust

The Matt Palmer Trust was formed by Matt's family and friends in his memory. Formed in March 2014.

Our mission is to help men find the support required to enjoy strong mental well-being and not suffer alone. The Matt Palmer Trust is a non-profit organisation formed to support the mental well-being of men of all ages in the UK. Our vision is that men will find support required to enjoy strong mental well-being and not suffer alone. We want to raise funds which will be issued as restricted grants

to charitable organisations and projects in position to support our mission and long term vision. We believe that increasing awareness of depression and facilitating support networks for men is one way to achieve this. We believe that engagement and enjoyment of sporting activity is another way that the personal and mental well-being of men can be improved.

12th June marks another anniversary of the day we said goodbye to Matt.

Thirteen years now.

Every year the date arrives just as summer is beginning to find its stride.

Music festivals fill the calendar, football tournaments bring people together, and friends gather to make memories.

Matt loved all of it.

He loved anything that united people around a shared experience. It reflected who he was: kind to his core and always bringing people together through love, laughter, and fun.

13 years on…

13 years since we last celebrated Matt’s birthday in person.

Days like today always bring everything back. And one of the things we’ve loved most over the years is seeing the memories and photos people continue to share of him.

Every message. Every story. Every old photo.

They don’t just take us back… they keep him with us.
They keep his birthday feeling like his day.

This photo is Matt, completely in his element.

On the dance floor, mid-moment.

We can almost see what happens next…
the shoes coming off, someone’s tie around his head, and a dance-off being called.

That was Matt.
Bringing people together.
Creating moments that turned into memories we’re still holding onto 13 years on.

Thank you to everyone who continues to share your memories of him with us. It means more than you know.

It keeps his memory alive.
