Camden Food Waste Challenge celebration evening 🎉🌟

Our senior programmes manager, Mouli, celebrated the winners of the food waste innovation challenge. We partnered with to provide three months of structure support with continuous mentor support, progress check-ins and pitching workshops to help develop their prototype.

A huge well done to winners; Soil Systems who were the gold prize winners, winning £75,000, and Limetrack, who were the silver prize winners, winning £25,000.

This was a brilliant partnership that showed how innovation can be made possible when local government ambition meets specialist delivery expertise.

Today we took part in the annual London Venture Crawl, which is an exploration of entrepreneurial ecosystems in different cities around the world 🌍 💡

We were delighted to welcome both and to our space, to help students immerse themselves in the world of entrepreneurship in the social and impact space.

Our members and alumni shared their stories, with Louis Howell from and Viviene Bish-Bedeau from discussing their experience and what motivates them in running their social enterprises. We also had insights from our brilliant partners at as well as our very own Mouli Chatterjee.

We love being part of inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs for good 🌍 💫

We are busy behind the scenes prepping for our second event 🤫 we can’t wait to share it with you!

Our last event centred around impact and social investing, looking at what it means for this year and how various parties are approaching it. We had three takeaways from our panelists:

👉 Get your financial story right and then your impact story - to continue to do the good work, you need to be financially sustainable too

👉 The right investor today might not be the right investor in two years - things change and evolve, naturally your company does too

👉 Profit is not a bad word in impact and social investment - the more profit, the more good you can do

There is a lot of news that may zap away your hope, but we want to remind you of the people in this world trying to make it a better place 🌟

Today we’ve got another inspiring social enterprise to share with you; She Believes She Can CIC joined our Together for Wellbeing programme and is a company rooted in doing good 💫

aims to empower young women with tools and knowledge to navigate the challenges that life throws at them. They are building a community of young women to provide a place to do that through various ways.

- the founder - aims to provide a space for women to exhale, lay down their worries, and feel truly seen, heard, and wrapped in warmth. A space - I think we can all agree - that is hugely needed.

We love being able to share some of the amazing social enterprises we get to meet through our programmes ❤️

One of the things we love most about the programmes we facilitate is getting to meet the participants and hear their stories of their organisations 💬 They are stories of hope, ambition and an deep rooted care for the world around them.

Without further ado, meet Mohammed Ismail - founder of UFFO Athletic and Leisure Group - who is part of our Together for Wellbeing programmes.

🌟 is committed to reducing physical inactivity, social isolation, and improving the mental wellbeing of Somali and Muslim communities in London. The organisation provides culturally
appropriate physical activities and sports programs, including weekly health and wellbeing walks for Somali men and women of global majority in South London 🌟

🌟 Member spotlight: Black Minds Matter 🌟

BMMUK is a registered Charity that delivers 121 talking therapy for the Black Community. They also provide education and awareness of mental health and mental illness within the community which helps to break down stigma and encourage people to look after themselves and their mental health. Additionally, they also advocate for accessible mental health support for all in statutory services by highlighting the importance of culturally appropriate therapy and representation in services.
