Last week, we had the privilege of running two summer celebration events in both London and Leeds, where our candidates had the opportunity to participate in an amazing rock climbing experience! This helped them to build confidence, speak to others with similar experiences, and to give them the chance to reflecr on their fantastic achievements this year.

We want to send a big thank you to The Castle Climbing Centre and Big Depot Leeds for their amazing work and for providing such an unforgettable experience for our students!

GCSE Results Day - You Did It! 🎉

Today is about celebrating YOU.

Whether you’re opening your GCSE results feeling excited, nervous, relieved - or a little bit of everything - take a moment to recognise just how much work has brought you to this point.

The lessons. The revision. The exams. The early mornings. The “I am definitely going to start revising tomorrow” moments.

You made it!

And whatever is written on that results sheet today, remember: your grades are only one part of your story. They don’t define what you’re capable of or where you can go next.

Maybe you’re heading to sixth form. Maybe it’s college, an apprenticeship or something completely different. Maybe you’re still figuring it all out.

That’s absolutely fine.

Today is about celebrating you!

Whether you’re opening your A Level, T Level or BTEC results with excitement, nerves, relief, or a mixture of all three, take a moment to recognise how far you’ve come.

You’ve worked hard. You’ve tackled challenges. You’ve learned new things, and now you’re taking the next step towards whatever comes next.

Maybe that’s university. Maybe it’s an apprenticeship, college, work or something completely different.

Join the FREE STEP into Further and Higher Education Online Series

The STEP programme is a series of interactive online sessions designed specifically for blind and partially sighted students who are preparing for further or higher education.

Across the sessions, you'll gain practical advice, build confidence, and connect with other students who understand your experiences. You'll also hear from students with lived experience who have successfully navigated these transitions and can share their insights and tips.

Topics include:

Making friends and building social connections
Speaking up and becoming more independent
Building confidence and positive wellbeing
Getting organised and preparing for your next chapter
Sessions take place online via Microsoft Teams from 6:00–7:00 pm, and you can choose to attend the full series or simply join the sessions most relevant to you.

Register Your Interest – BiB Summer Work Experience 2026

What if you could spend two days this summer working as part of a team, tackling a real challenge, sharing your ideas, meeting other blind and partially sighted young people, and gaining experience you can talk about on your CV, university applications and in future interviews?

If you're a blind or partially sighted young person aged 13–18, our Summer Work Experience Placement is your chance to do exactly that.

Placement Details:

When: Monday 27th to Tuesday 28th July 2026, 10am to 4pm
Where: RSBC Life Without Limits Centre, 10 Lower Thames Street, London, EC3R 6EN

Over two exciting days, you'll step into the role of a project team working on a real challenge for Blind in Business. Together, you'll explore ideas, solve problems, make decisions and present your recommendations—giving you a genuine taste of what it's like to work in a professional environment while making a real contribution.

You'll build confidence by trying something new, work alongside other blind and partially sighted young people, and develop practical skills that will help you take your next step towards work, university or greater independence.

Along the way, you'll strengthen your communication, teamwork, problem-solving and presentation skills in a fun, supportive environment.
