Taking care of yourself is not selfish: it is the foundation of helping others.

You are your priority, only like this you’ll be able to prioritise others too.

Be able to appreciate little things is one of the most difficult task in life.
we think there is something more important to think about but, what about if we loose the use of our legs or eyes?
We should be grateful everyday for what we have, from our body, to a sunny day, or a rainy day that will give nutrition to our plants and crops.
A little bird coming every day in your garden to have the seeds you’ve got for him/her.
This is what really matters, not an expensive car or handbag, not a big house of a fancy meal.

Having a healthy YOU is the most important thing.

I love to understand where, the coffe I drink, comes from.
Our local bakery sell a very nice coffe from Colombia in beans, decaffeinated with sugar cane naturally.
I grind it myself because I love the smell and I love to do things in the kitchen ☺️

We don’t drink lots of coffee, mainly on weekends and it has to be good 🤓

Always think about Dosha aggravations as Coffee is heating, astringent, and mobile;
it typically increases vata and pitta, may suit kapha or the spring season, and is best consumed mindfully with dosha awareness.

Cardamom and cinnamon redirect the energy and movement of vata or the vayus , specifically directing energy downward ( apana vayu ).
This allows for more of a grounding effect and will negate the anxious feelings that coffee otherwise brings. It also has a cooling energy, which helps to soothe coffee’s tendency to increase pitta in the body.

Ayurveda does not reject coffee outright; instead, it encourages us to understand who benefits, when, and how much.

☀️Morning: 6–10 AM — Kapha Time
This is the best time for coffee. Kapha’s heaviness is naturally high in the morning, so coffee helps reduce grogginess, stimulate metabolism and motivate activity.
Make sure you eat something before too.

Last evening I made our favourite noodles, with peanut sauce 🍜

As veggies I used cauliflower’s leafs, i don’t like to waste and I love the taste of that greens, also I used mushrooms…
In Ayurveda they are considered tamasic, meaning they can dull the mind or promote lethargy when consumed excessively or improperly. It’s always a matter of use them in the right amount, not frequently and cooked well with the right digestive spices. Their earthy, damp nature makes them more difficult to digest for individuals with low agni (digestive fire), especially during rainy or cold season.

I’ve added my homemade tofu that I’ve finally mastered now and it’s always so delicious and last up to 7 days in the fridge if you change the water every day or every other day.

Noodles are Vietnamese rice vermicelli and I use coconut milk but also lime, to balance flavour.

Nothing better that a nutritious meal, small quantity in the evening and paired with a coolant tea like Lemongrass tea.

Buon Appetito 🙂

As Ayurvedic practitioner I always recommend to start making little changes in the daily routine, to balance doshas and improve lifestyle.

In this frenetic society one of the most important thing to do, especially in the morning is to slow down, to ground yourself, Dinacharya is the way to balance our daily routine.

If you like your coffee morning routine, we can add some little rules that will help you maintain the things that you like during your morning Dinacharya.

When you drink coffee on an empty stomach, especially first thing in the morning, it increases acidity in your system.

To avoid this:
- Drink a cup of hot water at least 20 minutes before breakfast
- Eat a grounding breakfast with some fruit/protein, and whole grains.
- Drink your cup of coffee (prepared according to your dosha) to stimulate your mind and further stoke your agni, so the drink acts as a digestive aid.

Some decaf coffees are processed using chemical solvents (like methylene chloride). I prefer brands of coffee that use natural processes, such as the Swiss Water Decaf method or carbon dioxide extraction and organic coffee.

I suggest adding specific spices to your coffee to balance the energetic effects.

🫛Cardamom: Cools excess heat and acidity
🥢Cinnamon: Supports digestion without adding excess fire.

Vatas: take your coffee creamy and sweet, because it will have a grounding, nourishing effect on your system

Pittas: Sweeten your coffee with a high-quality maple syrup or organic cane sugar, but skip the cream, to counteract the beverage’s acidic qualities

Kaphas: Take your coffee black. Milk or cream can increase congestion and sweeteners can cause weight gain for kaphas.

Gratitude is one of the best practices we can do every day.
We sit down in silence and we appreciate what we have, no chasing, no efforts, just take it in and breath.
