David ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of King's College Hospital Charity earlier this year- after recovering from keyhole surgery and overcoming several health complications to make it across the finish line in good time.
In 2024, David had an ultrasound scan of his lower back due to an ongoing issue with a degenerative disease and afterwards a cyst was found on his spleen.
David was referred to King's College Hospital NHS where doctors decided he would have the cyst removed, along with his spleen. In March 2025, David had the operation to remove the cyst via keyhole surgery.
After recovery, David unfortunately had a secondary infection in his lower abdomen, which meant he spent another week at King's fighting that infection.
David is so grateful for the care he received. He ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon to thank King’s staff for their professionalism and support while undergoing surgery and during his recovery.
