We are delighted to announce that Liza Lim’s NMC release ‘String Creatures’ has been shortlisted for the Contemporary category of the Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2026! 🎉🎻

Brought to life by Grammy Award-nominated JACK Quartet, the album gathers together four of Lim’s so-called ‘string creatures’, pieces which explore string both as a material and as a metaphor for relations in the world around us.

“Lim approaches the string quartet as a superinstrument, the players melding into a compact creature, reinterpreting any solos or reduced sections as facets of the whole.” - Gramophone

Last night, Robert Laidlow hosted the launch of his debut album, ‘Reality Eaters’ 🎉

Natalie Holroyd, Robert’s wife and collaborator, led the discussion, and it was fascinating to hear more about the inspiration and creative process behind each of the works on the album. It was also a real treat to hear Joseph Havlat perform a stunning piano arrangement of ‘Gravity’, originally written for string quartet. 🎻

Huge congratulations to Robert on a wonderful debut release, and thank you for such a lovely evening!
