🎪 Farnham Carnival 2026: Sorted! 🚘
While the crowds were enjoying the brilliant atmosphere, music, and processions at this year's Farnham Carnival, our volunteers at Surrey 4x4 Response were hard at work behind the scenes keeping everyone safe!
We were proud to support the event organizers by managing the road closures and marshaling key routes across town. Logistical operations like this take a lot of coordination, but our team and our vehicles are always ready to step up and keep things running smoothly for the community.
A huge shoutout to all our dedicated responders who gave up their time to man the barriers, and a big thank you to the public for their smiles, waves, and patience while we held the lines!

Today (and every day), we are celebrating the incredible volunteers who make up Surrey 4x4 Response.
Our drivers, controllers, and support team donate their time, vehicles, and expertise 24/7 to assist emergency services and local communities during severe weather and critical incidents. They go exactly where they are needed, entirely for free.

It was a pleasure to assist Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response at the festival of transport! Really show how even though we are separate charity we are always happy to come together to support each other as part of the national group!

Today was the Basingstoke Festival of Transport. The number/variety of duties that we carry out differs across events. Today a large number of Responders was required, and being part of a National group we were able to call upon our counterparts at Wessex and Surrey for assistance. 4x4 Response UK have groups with varying skills across the country and with the ability to call on other groups either for additional numbers or specialist skills are ready to help when required.

From heavy snow to deep mud, our volunteers provide the backup needed when things get stuck. We might not have hyperdrive, but we’ve got the winch power to get the job done!

Our team is out in full force helping to manage road closures for some very special events. We’ve spent the morning assisting the Sutton Scouts with their St George’s Day parade, ensuring a safe route for all the marchers.
Next stop: heading over to support the Wimbledon and Wandle Scouts for their afternoon parade! ⚜️
