Thanks to your incredible support, our March match fundraising campaign has come to a close and we are so proud to share that we reached our target, raising a total of £61,000.
These funds will help more children to receive the support they need to grow in confidence, develop vital literacy skills and bring new opportunities into reach.
Thank you to everyone who gave, shared and supported the campaign, and another huge thank you to our generous match and pledge funders.

📚 Exciting News! Our Where Reading Begins campaign is live. Throughout March, every donation will be matched pound for pound, doubling your impact until we reach our £50,000 target.

The attainment gap is now the widest it’s been in a decade, and early literacy support has never been more important. Your donation helps fund our expert tutors and specialist literacy programmes, giving children the skills and confidence to thrive.

💛 Every donation makes a difference — and throughout March, every pound is doubled. A gift of £20 instantly becomes £40 at no extra cost to you. Please share our campaign with friends and family and together, we can help children unlock a love of reading and a lifetime of learning through literacy.

Follow the link in comments to make a donation and support our campaign. Thank you.

A book is not just for school….
Since our Reading Lab ‘catch up’ programme was launched, we have helped thousands of children make significant progress with their literacy, engage with reading and grow in confidence. The children often ask us if they can borrow the books we use so this Christmas we are launching an appeal to help us create lending libraries in every single Reading Lab in 2026.
