The mentoring can provide ongoing, practical support to your finance team – helping strengthen areas such as budgeting, reporting, financial controls, forecasting and longer-term planning.

And remember, three NGOs will also receive a fully funded in-person AfID finance placement, with AfID’s membership and placement fees completely covered.

📢 Finance Trustee | Remote / London | Approx. 4 hours per month

We’re recruiting a Finance Trustee for the UK section of an international human rights organisation that has spent 45 years protecting and supporting frontline activists around the world.

This is a strategic Board role for an experienced finance professional who would like to use their skills to support strong governance and the long-term financial sustainability of an organisation working to protect human rights defenders facing reprisals for their work.

The Finance Trustee will provide oversight and advice on financial management, controls, reserves, investments and audit, as well as serving on the Board’s Finance Committee.

The Board meets quarterly, mainly online, with one annual in-person meeting in London. The overall commitment is around 4 hours per month.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted and recently expanded to a second home, the charity needs a Treasurer to provide strategic oversight of budgets, reserves, audit, controls and financial governance.
