🇲🇼 OVERSEAS VOLUNTEER PLACEMENT IN MALAWI 🇲🇼

We're looking for an overseas volunteer to support two grassroots organisations in Malawi working to improve livelihoods and employment opportunities through vocational skills training and community development.

📍 Lilongwe, Malawi
⏰ 2 to 4 weeks
📅 July 2026 onwards

The assignment will focus on strengthening day-to-day financial management, financial controls, record keeping, budgeting and management reporting, whilst building the confidence and capability of local staff.

A practical and immersive opportunity to work alongside two local organisations making a real difference in their communities, whilst helping to strengthen the financial systems that support their long-term sustainability.

We’re looking for an overseas volunteer to support a Cambodian social enterprise project working to strengthen livelihoods and income security for older people and their communities.

📍 Battambang, Cambodia

The assignment will focus on strengthening financial systems, reporting processes, reconciliation tools, compliance readiness, budgeting, forecasting and practical finance procedures.

🌍 REMOTE VOLUNTEER FINANCE CAPACITY & BOARD REPORTING REVIEW 🌍

We’re looking for an experienced charity finance professional to support a small UK-based charity working internationally with local communities and partners across health, education, children’s rights, WASH, and women and girls’ wellbeing.

📍 Remote
⏰ Around 25 hours in total, over 1-2 months

The charity is seeking practical support to review its finance processes, controls, team capacity, management reporting and Board finance information, following recent changes within the finance function.

This role would suit a senior charity finance professional, Treasurer, Finance Director, Head of Finance, CFO or consultant with strong small charity finance experience, and a calm, sensitive and collaborative approach.

🇰🇭 CAMBODIA, 2-3 weeks – helping a growing NGO working with vulnerable communities improve budgeting, cashflow forecasting and financial reporting.

🇲🇼 MALAWI, 4-8 weeks – helping a grassroots NGO working across education, livelihoods and sustainability improve donor reporting, budgeting and financial systems.

🇮🇩 INDONESIA, 3-4 weeks – helping a conservation NGO working with fishing communities transition from Excel to a new accounting platform and strengthen donor reporting.

AfID volunteer Keith is making strong progress supporting Selamatkan Yaki in North Sulawesi, Indonesia 🇮🇩 💪

Keith is spending three weeks working closely with the team at a local conservation NGO, helping to strengthen their financial systems and reporting.

As the photos show, it’s not just about the technical work, it’s also about building relationships, sharing experiences, and becoming part of the team.
