🚨 URGENT – Volunteer Accountant needed in Tanzania, this October/November 🇹🇿

Could you spend 4–8 weeks in Tanzania this October or November using your finance skills to support a growing NGO?

Our partner works with entrepreneurs across Tanzania and is seeking an experienced finance volunteer to help its team prepare for an upcoming audit and strengthen its financial systems.
The assignment will include reviewing financial controls, audit readiness, budgeting and reporting, project and donor cost allocation, QuickBooks processes and – importantly – coaching their two relatively junior finance staff.

📍 Arusha, Tanzania
📅 Start needed as soon as possible – ideally October 2026, or November at the latest
⏱️ Minimum 4 weeks
🏠 Accommodation provided
🚕 Airport transfers provided

This could be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant or finance professional looking to use their skills overseas and leave behind practical, lasting improvements.

A brilliant four weeks in Zanzibar for AfID volunteer Aminu! 🇹🇿

Aminu is coming to the end of his placement with Mwambao Coastal Community Network, where he has been working with the finance and management teams to strengthen reporting, budgeting, QuickBooks use and internal controls.

He has also developed new practical tools, including cash-flow and donor reporting templates and a procurement workbook.

This week he presented his work to Mwambao’s Senior Management Team and received a fantastic response.

Huge thanks to Aminu for everything he has contributed, and to the Mwambao team for making him so welcome.

The mentoring can provide ongoing, practical support to your finance team – helping strengthen areas such as budgeting, reporting, financial controls, forecasting and longer-term planning.

📢 Finance Trustee | Remote / London | Approx. 4 hours per month

We’re recruiting a Finance Trustee for the UK section of an international human rights organisation that has spent 45 years protecting and supporting frontline activists around the world.

This is a strategic Board role for an experienced finance professional who would like to use their skills to support strong governance and the long-term financial sustainability of an organisation working to protect human rights defenders facing reprisals for their work.

The Finance Trustee will provide oversight and advice on financial management, controls, reserves, investments and audit, as well as serving on the Board’s Finance Committee.

The Board meets quarterly, mainly online, with one annual in-person meeting in London. The overall commitment is around 4 hours per month.

If you have strong financial management and analysis experience, an understanding of charity governance and a commitment to human rights, we’d love to hear from you.

A much-loved Surrey charity supporting children and young people with complex disabilities is seeking an experienced finance professional to join its Board.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted and recently expanded to a second home, the charity needs a Treasurer to provide strategic oversight of budgets, reserves, audit, controls and financial governance.

This is a governance role, not a hands-on finance position. Charity experience is helpful but not essential.
