The Muslim community has a long history of involvement with The Scout Association; the first Muslim Group in Britain was established in the late 1990s Muslim Scouting, with the setting up of the 11th St Marylebone Group in London.

Over the weekend, we had our Beavers Winter Camp, and the Beavers had an amazing time celebrating their 40th birthday! 🎂 Here are a few photos and videos showing what they got up to during the camp. Activities included rifle shooting, a scavenger hunt, movie night, a celebration party, and so much more. It was a fun-filled, action-packed weekend full of laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories for the beavers🥳

A big well done to our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who participated in the MSF Olympics this year! We won third place as a group and 2nd place in the Girl Scout section! We couldn’t be prouder 👏👏👏
A huge thank you to the MSF organisers and volunteers who helped make this event so special!🏅we’ll be back next year for the gold in sha Allah :)

Today, our beavers started working on their gardener badge! 🪴

They learnt about how trees change in each season and they created their own season changing diagram of the trees changing.

Their leader helped explain where our food come from in their origin form like milk and cheese!

They then planted their own Petunias seeds and took them home to look after them, themselves! 🪴

Last session the Beavers were visited by a doctor who delivered a session on First Aid. They were taught basic CPR, and how to call an ambulance when someons is unconscious and unresponsive. They learnt how to bandage to clean and bandage a wound. How to use an inhaler and what to do during an asthma attack. They also learnt how to protect a burn before arriving to the hospital. They were split into groups and able to practise each of these at a station.

We did lots of outdoor activities and a super action packed bird defeathering/ backward cooking session.

Last session, Scout Girls prepared delicious dishes as part of their Chef Activity Badge 👩‍🍳

The challenge? To prepare and serve a meal for £15 or under!

From fried chicken to pancakes, flatbread and chicken fajitas, each patrol cooked dishes to suit every palate 😋
