Call for Papers - IPCITI 2026 at City University.

The Centre for Translation and Textual Studies with the School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies at Dublin City University (DCU) will host the 19th International Postgraduate Conference in Translation and Interpreting (IPCITI 2026). The conference will take place in person on 3–4 December 2026.

This year's theme is "Across Academia and Industry: (In)Visibility and Interdisciplinarity in Translation and Interpreting." It focuses on how our field engages with neighbouring disciplines, the evolving relationship between academic research and professional practice, and the impact of rapid technological change and global migration on translation and interpreting.

We are pleased to announce the Call for Applications for the ESIST Outstanding PhD Thesis Award 2027.

ESIST is dedicated to supporting early career scholars and recognising excellence in research. With these aims in mind, ESIST awards a biennial prize for the most Outstanding PhD Thesis in Audiovisual Translation and Media Accessibility. The winner of the Award is announced at the Media for All conference and receives a 500 EUR prize.

Applicants must be ESIST members at the time of application and must have been awarded the certificate of graduation for the PhD from the relevant doctoral committee during the three-year period preceding the deadline for submission of applications; i.e., between 30 September 2023 and 30 September 2026 inclusive.

Applications must be submitted via email to the ESIST PhD Award Committee at [email protected].

The window for sending applications is between 1 and 30 September 2026 only.
