We are excited to share Take the Stand Podcast is now live! Episode 1 is available on Spotify (link is in our bio).
So many people write victim impact statements that are never heard in court. This podcast gives those statements a voice, spoken by the survivor or someone they choose, and offers space to reflect on the experience of going through the justice system.
Our founder (Roda Hassan) is honoured to be part of this alongside an incredible group of women (Charlotte Schreurs, Dr Jane Osmond and Sarah Learmonth).

Yet it remains devastatingly widespread and continues to increase.

Widening Participation schemes are designed to ensure access to education for underrepresented and marginalised groups, and rightly so. But one group is still consistently left out of the conversation: victim-survivors of gender-based violence.

Survivors often face:
> Interrupted education due to trauma, unsafe environments, or court proceedings
> Disrupted academic performance
> Financial instability
> Long-term impacts that extend far beyond the crisis

These are exactly the kinds of barriers Widening Participation was created to address.

We’re calling on universities and education providers to recognise survivors as a group in need of targeted support, through scholarships, flexible entry pathways, and extended timelines for re-engagement with study.
