Who exactly does this Government represent ?

NEW: Polling of Labour Party members shows over 60% are dissatisfied with the UK Governmentโ€™s response to Israelโ€™s atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territory, and want the Government to take stronger action.

๐Ÿ”ด 87% back a ban on trade with illegal settlements
๐Ÿ”ด 78% back the suspension of all UK arms exports to Israel, including parts for F-35 jets
๐Ÿ”ด Over two-thirds back a suspension of the UK-Israel trade agreement

The UK Government must end its complicity in the ongoing atrocities being committed by Israeli forces in Gaza and the West Bank by suspending all arms sales to Israel, suspending the UK-Israel trade and partnership agreement, and banning trade with illegal Israeli settlements.

Foreign Ministry: The World Must Curb the Israeli Occupation's Crimes in Gaza

29/05/2026

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns in the strongest terms the continued war of genocide, killing, and destruction waged by Israel, the illegal occupying power, against our people in the Gaza Strip.

This constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and all agreements and understandings regarding a ceasefire.

Since the announcement of the ceasefire, more than 1,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, have been martyred, in addition to thousands wounded, as a result of ongoing bombardment and direct targeting of civilians, infrastructure, and shelters. This confirms that Israel continues to commit crimes of killing and destruction despite the agreement being in effect.
The Ministry warns of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, given the closure of crossings and the continued restriction and obstruction of the sufficient and regular entry of humanitarian aid. This contravenes UN resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025), as well as the provisional measures of the International Court of Justice, and threatens a widespread resurgence of famine, as warned by reports from the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) system.
The Ministry calls upon mediator and guarantor states, led by the United States, to act immediately and pressure Israel, the occupying power, to halt its crimes against Palestinian civilians, ensure full compliance with the terms of the agreement and UN resolutions, and secure the entry of aid.
In the same context, the Ministry condemns the statements by the occupationโ€™s Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the expansion of aggression and Israeli control over approximately 70% of the Gaza Strip.

These statements are considered a violation of President Trump's vision, a serious breach of the foundations of the ceasefire, and a deliberate undermining of international efforts aimed at ending the aggression, preventing forced displacement, and launching a political horizon that realizes the State of Palestine and achieves the right to self-determination.

The Ministry reiterates its demand for the international community to take urgent and effective action to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities and activate accountability mechanisms to immediately stop all violations, systematic practices, policies, and crimes against our people in the Gaza Strip.

It further demands ensuring the sustainable and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid, the entry of necessary shelter and medical supplies, and ultimately achieving a comprehensive end to the aggression, full Israeli withdrawal, recovery and reconstruction, and securing international protection for our Palestinian people until independence and the end of the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.

Waltham Forest Echo reports on the recent decision by the London Mayor not to approve the proposed Met contract to Palantir. This is a good report which gives more detail on the decision.
We welcome the Mayor's decision and hope the Government will now review all existing and proposed contracts with Palantir.

Israel have killed 72,803, and wounded 172,855 Palestinians since October 2023

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Medical sources said that during the past 24 hours, six slain Palestinians and 34 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza.
