Earlier this year, we welcomed Andy Burnham to The Passage to discuss the realities of homelessness and what it will take to end it.

Today's announcement is a welcome step towards helping more people move away from homelessness this winter.

But if we've learned anything from initiatives like Everyone In, it's that lasting progress happens when homelessness is treated as a shared responsibility.

That's why we've called for greater leadership and accountability across government. Homelessness isn't just a housing issue. Health, employment, welfare and justice all have a role to play too.

The lessons from Everyone In continue to shape our work today, including No Night Out, which helps people to access support before they spend a night sleeping rough.

We welcome today's commitment. Now we need the leadership and accountability to turn ambition into lasting change.

A new Prime Minister brings new opportunities for change.
