Hanging Out Project

Hanging Out Project Welcome to the Hanging Out Project! The Hanging Out Project is an online youth culture magazine, written by young people.

Through the themes of fashion, film, music, sport and entertainment we aim to present a fresh perspective on the issues facing young people today. After receiving Heritage Lottery Funding in 2010, the project looked at the many different ways people used to 'hang out' in the 1950’s and '60s. Working with the V&A, London Metropolitan Archives, Rich Mix and the Imperial War Museum, the Hanging Out P

roject enabled and inspired young people from diverse backgrounds to appreciate and access their heritage. The project was completed in September 2012 but, due to the continued interest in our website, we have decided to adapt the Hanging Out Project to provide a platform for budding young writers and journalists.
