It was recently announced that climate change would be removed as an item of discussion on the 2026 G7 agenda. The removal of climate change comes due to comments made by the Trump administration. President Trump has publicly criticised environmental protection measures as a ‘hoax’ and ‘scam’, as well as rolling back key legal foundations of environmental policies in the US.
