National Centre for Suicide Prevention Education & Training CIC

National Centre for Suicide Prevention Education & Training CIC We are international experts in the development and discemination of su***de prevention education programmes. http://www.su***desaferlondon.org.uk

We showcase and deliver excellence in the provision of su***de prevention training. Our aim is to help reduce the su***de rate across London, and promote better mental health by relieving the mental distress experienced by people with thoughts of su***de. Through direct marketing campaigns within the communities of Greater London, we will increase knowledge of where to go for help, and affirm curre

nt and best practice of front-line services: those most likely to encounter someone at risk of su***de. By raising awareness and challenging stigma and we will make it easier for people to talk openly about su***de, and find ways to keep safe and access help. By providing community-wide and workforce development training, we will break down barriers and increase the numbers of people with the skills and confidence to help someone at risk.

How Su***de First Aid® Education Supports Ofsted & BS 30480 Compliance

With the new RSHE 2025 statutory guidance, schools must now safely embed age-appropriate su***de awareness, emotional literacy and early intervention into safeguarding and wellbeing practices. At the same time, BS 30480 — the national standard for su***de prevention training — sets clear expectations for safe, quality-assured and evidence-led staff training.

What RSHE (2025) requires from schools:
•Safe, age-appropriate su***de awareness
•Training that is evidence-based and safeguarding-safe
•No discussion of su***de methods or unsafe content
•Strong emphasis on help-seeking, trusted adults and signposting
•Whole-school safeguarding and emotional wellbeing approach

This places responsibility on School Leadership, MATs, DSLs, and local
authorities to ensure training is delivered only by suitably trained and
accredited professionals.
