Are you looking to make an impact in your local community? Passionate about creating affordable, community-led housing in Waltham Forest?

We are looking for new trustees to sit on our board! 🌿

Learn more and apply today (deadline September 15th) ➡️
https://forestclt.org/jobs

We are currently particularly interested in people that want to get involved in:

1. A secretary (to shadow and take over from our existing secretary)
2. Campaigning (specifically building our relationship with Waltham Forest
council and local groups) and building people power
3. Communications
4. Looking after Forest CLTs Membership

Even if these roles don’t suit your interests, please get in touch. Roles will be co-designed with successful candidates and tasks shared with team members.

Training will be provided for all these roles – you will not be expected to take over from day one, but being a self-starter helps!

What change would you like to see in Waltham Forest's housing?

We ran a members survey earlier this year to get our community's thoughts 💡

In this quick snapshot, you can see our members' top suggested changes, as well as what size of housing they need.

Checking out a new location for our monthly board meeting today. A beautiful mixed use space from in Dalston.

And here's to continuing to build our network as we welcomed Healthy Streets for Higham Hill & Lloyd Park. We heard about their brilliant work on introducing more green and community friendly spaces, including ‘parklets’ - mini green spaces in parking spaces.

Inspiring to see how much of a difference even the smallest of spaces can make to a community, and definitely lots to keep in mind as we plan future developments.

If you’d like to learn more about their work, or how to apply for a parklet along your street, check the links below!
