In 2025, we celebrated the fact that in harmony, small things grow.
Back in October we showcased one of the unsung success stories of recent years – the steady rise of Polish FDI in the UK.
As our President Rafal Libera noted, what began as a trickle has become a long-term trend – powered by the vision of Polish entrepreneurs, their product , and close with government agencies, financial institutions, industry bodies & the supply chain.
Thanks to our partners from British Embassy Warsaw & BGK - Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, we are now able to use the same hymn sheet to amplify this story: a comprehensive 100-page report that highlights Polish trailblazers – such as InPost - Paczkomat, Kurier – who have thrived in the UK market and never looked back.
📊 The numbers speak for themselves:
At the end of 2024, Polish investments in the UK reached 10.5 billion PLN (approx. £2.5bn), making the UK the third biggest destination for Polish FDI. This represents 6.4% of Poland’s total FDI portfolio – a record share that underscores the strategic importance of the UK market. Behind these figures are over 120 projects: loans financed, infrastructure built & jobs created.
These were the key themes in a presentation by Bartosz Kozinski, Tomasz Bieliński, EMBA & Magdalena Mariankowska, MPhil (Oxon)🇵🇱🇬🇧, and in a panel discussion featuring business leaders such as Izabela Karolczyk-Szafrańska (InPost), Nick Mansell CEng MBA (Intermarine UK Limited), Artur Pietrzak (Wielton Group) and Justyna Jackholt (Bossalini Capital).
We also explored:
- The financial services & capital markets outlook for Poland & the UK, w/ Tomasz Bieliński, Marek Radzikowski (PKO Bank Polski), Paulina Strugała MBA, FCCA (VeloBank), Tomasz Czechowicz (MCI Capital), Kuba Fast & Katie Martin
- The cutting edge of tech — AI, energy & dual-use solutions — w/ Maciej Terlikowski (Mindbox), Grzegorz Brona (Creotech Instruments S.A.), David Ordonez (NATO Innovation Fund (NIF)), Rt Hon Tobias Ellwood, Michal Gladys and Amalia Kontesi
- The economic mega-trends shaping our shared future w/ Marvin Barth.
As former President of Poland Andrzej Duda remarked in his keynote address: has now become a G20 economy by GDP, and its next stage of growth must be built on trust — the key ingredient among trade partners, governments and businesses.
This spirit of trust & collaboration was felt throughout the event — embodied in the partnership between Polish & UK institutions, and within the ecosystem, where many Polish professionals help enable deals, structure investments & drive growth.
At PCC, we believe this is where our unique network & know-how can make a real difference – helping the next generation of Polish investors succeed globally. Because it’s through collaboration that small things grow.
Let’s make the most of it!
A heartfelt thank you to our generous partners and sponsors – the Embassy, BGK, Bloomberg, Polish Business Hub, Mindbox & InPost UK – for helping make this event a success.
