🏅 At a recent student awards ceremony at the National Maritime College of Ireland - NMCI, Elijah Buchanan was presented with the IMarEST Silver Medal for Best Marine Engineering student, awarded on behalf of the IMarEST Cork branch.

🎉Huge congratulations to Niru Dorrian on being named on The ENDS Report, Power List 2026!

Selected from hundreds of applicants, Niru was recognised in the Professional Bodies and Influencers category for his outstanding contributions to the sector.

He was nominated for his role as the IMarEST’s Ambassador to the UN Ocean Decade, a global ten year initiative focused on advancing sustainable ocean management. In this capacity, Niru has supported nearly twenty endorsed actions centred on skills development, ethics, and capacity building.

Niru is also being recognised for his continued leadership, including co-leading the marine mammal mitigation and monitoring conference in 2024, in his role as Chair of the IMarEST Marine Mammals Special Interest Group.
