Carers Hub Lambeth Connecting Carers in Lambeth We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with an answerphone available. Some events are in the evening and weekend.

We are an independent charity based in Brixton and Streatham, offering services from both locations to unpaid carers living or looking after someone living in the London Borough of Lambeth.

Our friends want to celebrate and raise awareness for Carers Awareness Week. On Wednesday 17th June, they are running a range of activities, offers, and wellbeing support exclusively for carers at West Norwood Health and Leisure Centre.

They are offering free blood pressure check, 2 for 1 entry, gym tours, a conditioning class, and even £1 coffees! Head on down to learn more about keeping well and staying fit with Active Lambeth.

It is also worth reminding our carers that Lambeth Carers Card holders are entitled to concessionary membership prices across all Active Lambeth Sites!

It is !

Our Chair of Trustees, Laura, took some time to reflect on this year’s theme ‘Building Carer Friendly Communities’.

“Carers do so many incredible things for the people they care for, putting the needs of others before themselves every day. I feel honoured to play a small part in recognising what they do and supporting them by volunteering for Carers Hub in Lambeth where I live.

It's tough to see the additional challenges carers are facing at the moment, on top of their caring roles, which is why it feels more important than ever that we take a moment to think about the people in our lives and in our community who care for others, to celebrate them and to reach out to them so they don't feel like they are alone.”

During the May half term we took our 5-11 year old carers to

We were happy to be back, making, playing with and learning more about slime. We especially enjoyed the giant lump of slime that we worked together to streeeeeeeeeetch to its limit!

We had a lovely time at the funfair with our 5-11 year old young carers! 🎟️🎡🎠🎢

This year we have introduced more opportunities for our youngest carers, including a new Enrichment Club, and weekly sessions for 8-11 year olds. Alongside this, we continue to offer individualised and whole family support.

But, as you can see, we still love to get out and about in the school holidays to have adventures and do fun activities 😄🥳

It was lovely to be invited to Gracefield Gardens Health and Social Care Centre, as part of their Dementia Awareness Day activities.
