Today from 2-4pm we sit down and have a chat with Squatters Collective, House of Shango.

We talk Black radical housing activism, centering community care and what gains have there been in Brixton for BAME people in Brixton 40 years after the April 1981 uprisings.

16/10/2021

Today Blak Outside goes home to Brixton, South London to talk housing activism with House of Shango, squatters collective.

There’s memories of the 1981 uprising, working with Dora Boatemah, Ghanaian housing activist who created Angell Town Community Project.

Talk with House of Shango 2-4pm at San Mei Gallery, formerly the Loughborough Hotel pub.
