BLOQS is London's largest open workshop, offering a huge range of professional machines and equipment for makers to work in wood, metal, CNC, textiles, concrete, plastic, paint and additive manufacturing. A flexible, pay-as-you-go membership means you have a fully equipped workshop as and when you need it, without fixed overheads. Our growing community of like-minded individuals provides the opportunity to exchange knowledge, collaborate and showcase your work.

If your woodworking projects keep going wrong… it’s probably one of these 3 mistakes:

1. Beginners measure once… and assume it’s correct. Always measure twice, and mark clearly before cutting.
2. Not every saw is for every cut. Match the tool to the cut, and let the tool do the work.
3. This is the mistake that ruins the ‘professional finish’. Adjust in stages, and remove the smallest amount each time. Trust us.

This gorgeous sign was made for .london and was crafted by the very talented from 100% reclaimed materials. The sign reflects Storque Studio’s ethos, prioritising sustainable fabrication and reducing environmental impact through thoughtful, solution-led design. 🌿🦉

'Sova' translates to 'owl' in many Slavic languages, which you can gather from the cutely cut owl in the centre.

It's so great to see our members' creations in and around town. We're hoping so see more!

Just a gentle reminder that we'll be closed on Friday 3rd and Monday 6th to give our dedicated BLOQS team some time to rest and recharge.

One of our incredible BLOQS members has just finished this stunning blue and yellow dog house. Take a look at the detail: a traditional arched entrance, perfectly framed and finished, paired with a bespoke circular side opening. A beautiful, considered touch that gives the whole piece real character.

The clean paintwork, the precise joinery, the way every edge has been thought about... this is what craftsmanship looks like when you give a skilled person the right space and tools to work with.

This hex lamp was handcrafted by Jake, one of our stellar technicians using polished walnut and traditional handmade paper sheets, creating a warm, diffused light that feels both timeless and contemporary.

Each panel celebrates the beauty of natural materials, carefully assembled to highlight the grain of the wood and the delicate texture of the paper.
