We were delighted to see BIAS trustees, including our Vice Chair Mairead, at the Irish Monument Consultation at the Crown Hotel last week.

It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from the community, sharing ideas and helping shape how the contribution of the Irish community to London could be recognised and celebrated.

Take a look through the photos – how many familiar faces can you spot?

Does it count as a work event if you’re wearing your BIAS T-shirt? Asking for our CEO 👀

Mike, whose family are from Mayo, got his hands on the Sam Maguire Cup at the Oxford Arms in Camden yesterday. After recently celebrating 14 years as CEO of BIAS, we reckon he’s earned this one.

(The rest of BIAS would like to clarify that he doesn’t speak for all our county loyalties😂)

Would you like to have your say on the Brent Irish Monument?

Cllr Ryan Hack has been a fantastic supporter of BIAS and Brent’s Irish community. Now it’s our chance to get behind his Brent Irish Monument project and have our say.

What a start to September at BIAS.

We’re only halfway through the month and we’ve already launched our very first fundraising activity, had a brilliant day at the London Irish Vintage Rally, cheered on 200+ runners at the Kilhan Charity Run, welcomed our clubs back and had another busy month for our Advice Team and volunteers.

And there are a few numbers in here that we’re particularly proud of. Swipe through to see what we’ve been up to and click the link in the comments to read more ➡️

A huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of it from our brilliant volunteers and club members to all the organisations and supporters.

Well, Kilhan Construction you’ve done it again! 💜

What an amazing day filled with brilliant runners, plenty of laughs and a whole lot of purple in Gladstone Park.

A massive well done to everyone who ran, walked and cheered from the sidelines. We hope you enjoyed our signs and the little sweet treat waiting for you at the finish line, you all deserved it.

You were all absolutely Kilhan it!

A huge thank you to the Kilhan team for choosing BIAS as one of this year’s charities. We’re so grateful for your continued support and for everything you do to bring the community together.

There’s still time to donate in support of Brent Irish Advisory Service, ADHD & Autism Support, Brent Foodbank🌱 and St Luke's Hospice Harrow & Brent, link in our bio.

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Kilhan Charity Run tomorrow!

Last year’s event raised an incredible £107,829 for four local charities, with close to £27,000 donated to BIAS. This generous support has helped us keep older Irish people active, connected and social through our Active Ageing Clubs.

A huge thank you to the entire Kilhan Construction team and everyone who makes the day possible. We’re proud to be supported alongside ADHD & Autism Support, Brent_Foodbank and St Lukes Hospice.

This year’s total already stands at an amazing £91,722—just £8,278 away from £100,000!

Please support the runners and help them reach that milestone: https://www.givewheel.com/fundraising/14967/kilhan-run-2026/

We can’t wait to cheer everyone on tomorrow! 💚

What a lovely day at the London Irish Vintage Club 2026 ☘️🌈🎰

We had so much fun with our human fruit machine and loved seeing so many people stop by to have a go.

And all those £1s added up to just over £250 for BIAS, helping us continue to bring the Irish community together and provide advice and support when people need it.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers who made the day so much fun, everyone who came over to see us, and youririshshop and McVitie's for donating our fabulous prizes.

We loved every minute of it! And we’re sure it won’t be the last time you see our fruit machine

Have you got the luck of the Irish? Our Brent Active Ageing Coordinator Donna has certainly got the juggling skills!

Our human fruit machine is on a roll at the London Irish Vintage Club ☘️🌈

A big thank you to YourIrishShop.com and McVitie's for donating Irish sweets and biscuits for our prizes!

Can you match all three? ☘️🌈

If you’re at the London Irish Vintage Club today, pop by our stall for a bit of fun on our human fruit machine!

£1 for 3 spins, with prizes to be won. All money raised helps us keep bringing people together and being there for those who need us 💚
