Staff from across the Trust came together on Thursday 10 September for The Hillingdon Hospitals Charity Football Tournament, with seven teams competing in a fantastic afternoon of friendly rivalry and fundraising.
Representing departments from across the organisation were:
🔵 Barely Athletic (Porters)�🔵 192 FC (IT)�🔵 Estates and Capital Projects�🔵 Gym Nation (Brunel Medical Students)�🔵 2 Good Inwards to Handle (Goods Inwards)�🔵 Scrubs and Strikers (Corporate Nursing)�🔵 Sterile Fielders (Theatres)
After some closely fought matches, Sterile Fielders, Estates and Capital Projects, 2 Good Inwards to Handle and 192 FC progressed to the semi-finals. The final saw 192 FC take on 2 Good Inwards to Handle, but with time running short, the match couldn't be completed and no winner was crowned.
The day wasn't just about football. Friends, families and colleagues came along to cheer from the sidelines, while everyone enjoyed a well-earned BBQ and the chance to catch up with colleagues from across the Trust.
A huge thank you to everyone who played, volunteered and supported the event. It was a brilliant example of our Trust community coming together for a great cause. The final to be continued....

Thank you to everyone who came to our sale today and helped us raise £205 for our Children's Bumblebee Ward. Harjit Kaur Nar you are amazing 👏 ❤️, thank you for making the bags and putting your heart and soul into them.

Come down to the Charity office from 10am - 2pm and bag yourself a bag! All bags made by Harjit Kaur, a local seamstress who makes bags for the NHS. All proceeds go to our Bumblebee Children's ward.

✨£30,000 Raised for Project Safe Harbour: Creating a Haven for Young Minds ✨ Thank you Jerry Mills and Mills Ltd

Project 'Safe Harbour' is a new Hillingdon Hospitals Charity initiative that will transform space on the Bumblebee Children's Ward into a calm, therapeutic and secure environment for adolescents in mental health crisis. The aim is to provide a de-escalation room and a sensory room. One will calm the patient in crisis, while the sensory room will help regulate their emotions once calm. This will make a huge difference to the young patients, their families, and staff on the ward.

Mills raised this incredible amount at their Charity Golf Day in June. Helping bring Project Safe Harbour one step closer to becoming a reality and providing vital support for young people when they need it most.

Sue Richards you've done it again! These beautiful handmade dolls bring a smile to the faces of anxious children attending Rainbow ward for day procedures. Thank you to producers Rita (Sue's mum), Philomena, Rosy, and Sue's sister Kath who sews the dolls up giving them each their own character 💙 ❤️ 🙏😊 xx

Today we were able to take bags of toiletries to Stroke ward. Thank you to Nirm who is always looking out for patients on the ward, and thank you to Sarah Owen and for the toiletry donations. Much appreciated 👏 🙏💙.

If anyone has any colouring books and pens/pencils these would be great for stroke patients as they are calming and reduce anxiety. Please drop off at Main Reception 🙏
