We are currently on tour through 2025!

Charabancs and Cadillacs is a reminiscence project based in Newham, focusing on travel and transport memories of Newham residents who grew up in the 50's 60's and 70's.

Can you believe that it's been one year since we were in Stratford's Town Hall celebrating The Big Reveal and marking the end of The Charabancs and Cadillacs Project?

We are grateful to everyone who came forward and made their voices known, either through oral history workshops or sewing onto The Travel Quilt. We also appreciate those who have supported the project through its duration, and of course, The National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery Players for making the project happen.

It's been 1 Year since our visit to The Milestones Museum in Basingstoke and what a lovely day we had. This trip is special to some of the participants as it was one of our very last heritage trips before the project's completion.

The Travel trunk is at Compressor House this week for the Compressor House Warming Event.

Pop in, have a look through the trunk, and marvel at the extravagant travel quilt, a bespoke piece of art, in collaboration of hundreds of Newham residents across all ages.
