I have 3 categories to personally choose from and Dr Carol Stott was the winner of one of my categories .
' It gives me enormous pleasure to present this Special Recognition Award to someone who has been both a long-standing friend and a deeply respected professional within the autism community: Dr Carol Stott.
Carol is one of those rare people who combines professional knowledge, intellectual rigour and genuine humanity. She has spent many years working in the field of autism, helping families, professionals and organisations to better understand autistic people not as a label, but as individuals with their own strengths, challenges, personalities and potential.
Over the years, I have seen Carol’s commitment at close hand. She has always brought thoughtfulness, honesty and care to this work. She listens carefully, speaks with clarity, and never loses sight of the person behind the paperwork, the assessment or the professional discussion.
Carol has also been a wonderful friend to me and to Anna Kennedy Online. She has supported our work with kindness, generosity and encouragement. In a world where people can sometimes speak loudly without listening deeply, Carol has always stood out as someone who brings calm, wisdom and integrity.
This award is not simply about one achievement. It is about years of dedication. It is about the families, professionals and members of the autism community who have benefited from her knowledge, compassion and commitment to improving understanding.
