Our FWT North America Hub Members Jazz Gaite and Shirley Dungao, together with FWT Affiliate Eric Dane Noriega, proudly represented Filipino World Travelers at the NomadMania meeting in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, over the weekend. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow global explorers who are our allies and celebrate the shared passion for discovering the world.

Filipino World Travelers (FWT) is excited to announce the launch of its upcoming FWT Travel Book, headlined by Dondon Bales, Kach Umandap and Luisa Yu, with inspiring stories from FWT Members around the world.

This is the sequel to "gala: Adventures of the Most Well Traveled Filipinos" by FWT Founder Dondon Bales.

The book’s title will be revealed during the FWT Global Virtual Event via Zoom on August 29, 2026! The subtitle of the book is “Journey to Every Country with the Filipino World Travelers”

FWT Ambassador Kach Medina Umandap is launching her first book, “Career or Travel, Why Not Both? How to Become a Digital Nomad,” published by Penguin Books SEA and available for pre-order at Fully Booked, for anyone who wants to build a career while keeping the freedom to travel.

Kach will host a launch and book signing at the Manila International Book Fair on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. To show our support, we’ll also be holding an FWT Metro Manila meet-up right there. Come and join us!

FWT Members James Soriano and Joey Hernandez have been officially verified as having completed circumnavigation around the globe, joining an elite group of seven other FWT Members who have achieved this milestone. Both travelers have also visited more than 40 countries and territories as part of their ongoing journeys.

Joey recently completed his circumnavigation when he returned home to Manila just in time for his birthday in June 2026, adding a special milestone to an already memorable celebration. James, who is based in both the US and Manila, first achieved his initial circumnavigation in April 2025 and went on to complete a second one in June 2026, with both journeys verified this month by the FWT Awards Team.

FWT is the first and only international community of Filipino travelers to verify and recognize major global travel milestones such as circumnavigation through its World Travel Milestone Verification Program.

Great to receive more inspiring greetings from Sam Hawthorne (UK) and JP Peixoto (Portugal), NomadMania Travel Awards 2025 Biggest Traveller winner. Both are U.N. Masters who have visited every UN-recognized country.

With this, Filipino World Travelers has now received greetings from over 50 U.N. Masters, about 10% of the 500+ people worldwide who have achieved this incredible feat, making FWT the only Filipino travel community with this level of global recognition and support.
