Celebrating National Inclusion Week 💚

At British Dressage, we want everyone to feel welcome and supported in our sport. One way we help make competition more accessible is through our coloured armbands:

⚪ White – for riders with visual impairments
🔵 Royal blue – for riders with hearing difficulties
🌻 Sunflower – for riders with a hidden disability or condition
🟡 Yellow – identifies a support rider/groom for competitors

These visible signals help raise awareness and make it easier for officials, volunteers and fellow competitors to understand when a rider may need additional support.

By removing barriers and creating a more understanding competition environment, we can help more people enjoy, participate in and find a place in dressage🐴

Following the fantastic success of the Inclusive Skating competition at the 2026 Guttmann Games in Lahti, Finland, we are now looking ahead to Samsun 2027 and exploring the possibility of extending this international competition opportunity to more Inclusive Skaters from around the world.
🌟 Could you be part of Samsun 2027?
We are inviting Inclusive Skating athletes whose additional needs include a physical impairment within the PI classification to submit an Expression of Interest.
We want to hear from skaters who may be interested in representing their country at this exciting international event.
📝 All you need to provide is:
• Your name
• Your country
• The country you intend to represent
💙 There is NO charge to submit an Expression of Interest.
⚠️ Important: This is not a formal competition entry and there is no financial commitment at this stage.
We are seeking to understand the level of athlete interest and help assess the viability of developing the Inclusive Skating Championships within the 2027 World Abilitysport Games.
The competition format will be informed by the successful event held at the 2026 Guttmann Games in Lahti, with the final programme and competition details dependent on athlete interest and event planning.

It’s all about having fun, making friends, building confidence and learning tennis in a friendly, supportive environment.

🌟 Scottish Disability sport (SDS), have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Manager to join the team.

The Communications Manager is a key member of the SDS staff team, who will work collaboratively with others to implement the SDS Strategic Plan. Responsibilities will centre on leading, developing and implementing an effective communication and public relations service for Scottish Disability Sport.

37.5 hours per week.

Interviews: 25 September.
