The final push from Ronda to Malaga. Beautiful climbs and stunning decents all morning before a more gentle (but long and hot 🥵) afternoon 60kms to Malaga. The final 6kms are completed via cycle path to deliver the peloton safely to the finish. An incredible ride! Chapeau to the class of 26 👏 fundraising for .uk

Today was the day the Spanish adventure became real as riders negotiated numerous road closures and reroutes. Despite the sand and gravel off-road sections, the numerous delays, the heat, and the retracing of steps (a sweaty climb back up a hill they’d just descended), the peloton approached it all with positivity and good humour.

Day 1 took us from the coast up to Ronda, with a steady climb and plenty of heat along the way.

The team from Club Peloton came to the rescue with a much-appreciated water spray stop to help us cool down.

Pedal stroke by pedal stroke, we worked our way through around 1,800m of climbing, taking in some beautiful mountain scenery and quintessential Spanish towns before arriving in Ronda.

A challenging but rewarding day in the saddle, made all the better by great company and plenty of female camaraderie. 😊🚴‍♀️
