Every day in the UK, 10 families receive the devastating news that their child has cancer, and two of those diagnoses will be terminal.

Of those who survive, more than half will go on to live with long-term side effects caused by the treatments used to save them.

Our mission is to create a world where every child and young person not only survives cancer, but thrives and lives a long, healthy life.

Funding research into safer and kinder treatments is a vital part of that mission.

“The ultimate price is that she has to live with all of this for the rest of her life”

Tia is in treatment for her fourth recurrence of cancer. She’s already suffered from the damaging side-effects from her previous cancer treatment that was never originally designed for children.

There are 1,000+ more kids like Tia still being treated with harsh drugs that weren’t made for them.

That’s why we’re funding the research to change that. For children like Tia, and parents like Shaima, who deserve better, kinder treatments.

The takeover is live, and we couldn’t be prouder of the children who made this possible – Kaiden, Arianna, Dulcie, Tia, Harry, Leighton and Charlie.

They aren’t actors– they are real children who have faced (or are still facing) a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Their strength, curiosity and courage have been palpable behind the scenes of this campaign, and they have done an amazing job in helping us bring awareness to the stark reality of cancer research funding.

Let’s hear it for Kaiden, Arianna, Dulcie, Tia, Harry and Charlie!👏

Infertility, tiredness, vision loss, stunted growth.

Those are just some of the harsh side-effects children like Tia, Harry, Arianna and Dulcie experience from cancer treatments that were created for adults. These side-effects can last a lifetime.

We’re funding the research to change this. Will you help us?

Parents, we see you and we celebrate your hard-work and dedication🧡

Today marks Global Day of Parents, celebrated on June 1 every year.

It's a tribute to the love, sacrifices, and unwavering support parents like Shaima offer their children, even during the most difficult situations like a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Diagnosed with a brain tumour, Kaiden received treatment that came with devastating side-effects.

As Kaiden’s headache, vomiting and other symptoms worsened, his mother Kathryn became increasingly worried and feared brain tumours.

Eventually, eight months after Kaiden’s first GP visit, he was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma.

Over half of the of children who survive cancer treatment will live with serious long-term side effects.

These side effects - stunted growth, heart damage, infertility, cognitive difficulties – can last a lifetime.

But it doesn’t have to be like this.
