Imagine if childhood cancer treatment had kept evolving at the pace children deserve.

This would mean fewer long-term side effects. More personalised treatments designed around individual children and their cancers. More children able to spend less time dealing with the lasting impact of treatment and more time simply being children.

That’s the future research can help make possible.

The fear doesn’t always end when treatment does 🧡

Children with Cancer UK ambassador Paula Radcliffe has spoken openly about the fear that stayed with her following her daughter’s cancer diagnosis, and how a recent health scare brought those emotions flooding back.

It’s a reality so many families affected by childhood cancer understand. Even when treatment ends and life begins to move forward, the worry can remain.
We’re incredibly grateful to Paula and her daughter, both ambassadors for Children with Cancer UK, for continuing to use their voices to raise awareness and help other families feel less alone.

From the Richmond Run-Fest and Great North Run to Tough Mudder Kids, the Berlin Marathon, Westminster Mile and Vitality London 10,000, we’re grateful seeing so many of you getting involved.

Focusing on the positives can help a child get to the finish line 🏁

“It’s like poison going into your body.” 🧡

Alec and Aden, both 13, Kaiden, 11, Leighton, 13, and Harry, 12, share their experiences of cancer treatment and the impact treatments like chemotherapy can have on growing bodies.

Many children with cancer are still treated with drugs and treatment protocols originally developed for adults. While these treatments can save lives, they can also cause serious and long-term side effects.

Children deserve treatments developed specifically for them. That’s why Children with Cancer UK is committed to funding research into safer, kinder and more effective treatments for children and young people.
Their conversation is part of Kids Like Us: Reunited, giving young people the space to speak honestly about what going through cancer treatment is really like.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Westminster Mile this weekend, supported from the sidelines, volunteered their time or helped make the day possible 🧡

It was so special to see so many people come together for Children with Cancer UK Our ambassadors Adele Roberts and Kate Holderness joined us, with Adele getting our wave underway before taking part herself. Fellow ambassadors Jake and Hannah Graf also took part with their two daughters, alongside Juliet Sear.

We were also joined by some of the incredible families at the heart of our work. Jaxon and his family took part after Jaxon was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2025, just before his second birthday. Another family completed the mile in memory of Aaron 🧡

Every mile completed and every pound raised helps us continue funding vital childhood cancer research and supporting children and young people facing cancer. We’re so grateful to have you as part of Team Children with Cancer UK.

Waiting for answers can have a lasting impact 🧡

Dulcie, 10, tells Eve, 17, about how long it took to receive the correct cancer diagnosis and the emotional and physical impact that delay had on her.
Getting the right diagnosis as early as possible matters. Children and their families deserve to have their concerns heard and taken seriously, without having to keep fighting for answers.

With less than 2% of UK cancer research funding focused on children’s cancer, greater awareness and continued research are vital to improving outcomes for children and young people.
