Network of baby banks passing on pre-loved clothes & equipment to help give London's 0-5-year-olds the essentials they need

Little Village supports families with babies and children under five living in poverty across London. We run a baby bank network, collecting, sorting and passing on pre-loved clothes and equipment. Parents are also supported by our dedicated signposting and guidance team, who offer advice and links to other services. In addition, we work with families to share their stories and campaign to fix the

systems that trap them in poverty. We are based in London, with hubs in Camden, Wandsworth, Brent, Hackney and Hounslow. Since we launched in 2016, we’ve supported over 25,000 children across London. Our values of love, solidarity, thriving and sustainability underpin everything we do.

Or sending your child to school in socks that are too small because there aren't any others.

For many families, these aren't hypothetical situations — they're everyday realities.

That's why we're asking for your help this June. Please donate pants, socks or tights to one of our baby banks or donation drives. Clean underwear helps children feel comfortable, confident and ready for the day

We’re incredibly proud to be part of the End Child Poverty Coalition, who have been recognised with the Sheila McKenzie Foundation Award for Campaign of the Year

This win belongs to the parents at the heart of the campaign - especially mums like Thea, whose courage, honesty and determination helped drive real change. By sharing their lived experiences, they made an undeniable case for fairness and dignity, helping secure support for families affected by the two-child limit.

At Little Village, we know that when parents are heard, change happens. Huge congratulations to everyone involved - and thank you to the brilliant families who turned their stories into action.

Right now, our baby banks are running extremely low on children's socks, pants and tights.

When we think about child poverty, we often think about the big things — housing, food and heating. But for many families, it's the everyday essentials that continue to put the pressure on.

So, this June, we're asking for donations of new:

🩲 Pants
🧦 Tights

These small items make a big difference, giving children comfort and dignity while helping parents through difficult times.

Just £12 could help give a child some new pants and socks, ensuring they can have a safe and happy day at school or nursery.

Join Our Village: Brand, Design & Marketing Officer

Do you love bringing brands to life through creative storytelling, marketing campaigns, and design? We're looking for a talented Brand, Design & Marketing Officer to help grow Little Village's impact across London. 💛

📍 Home-based with regular visits to our hubs
⏰ 28 hours per week (flexible working considered)
💰 £36,000 FTE
📄 Permanent contract

In this role, you'll create engaging marketing materials, champion our brand, develop website content, manage design projects and help us reach more families with the support they need. From developing social media content or marketing campaigns to creating printed materials or opportunities to build awareness of our brand, no two days are the same.

We're looking for someone with:

✨ Strong communications/marketing and creative content skills
✨ Experience with Canva, web editing and brand management
✨ Excellent organisation and project management
✨ A passion for creating meaningful social impact

The journey of your pre-loved baby and children's items is in safe hands – we promise. 💚

Our wonderful volunteers take extra care sorting, folding and bundling every donation, ready to be chosen by families visiting one of our baby banks or packed into boxes and delivered straight to their door.

We're incredibly proud of our baby banks and understand how important it is for families to have a welcoming, shop-like experience. We want parents to have the freedom to browse and choose the items that best meet their children's needs, or tell us what their little one loves so we can carefully select items on their behalf.

Every donation you give helps us create a dignified, personalised experience for families facing financial hardship.
