We’re thrilled to announce Monifé as one of the incredible artists performing at New Voices, our Black History Month celebration in collaboration with Club Culture! 🎶

Monifé is a British-born Vincentian/Nigerian artist raised in East London, whose soulful tracks like Can’t Fall Back and Love Language have captivated audiences worldwide. Inspired by legends like Erykah Badu, Usher, and SZA, though she was initially shy about singing publicly. Her mother enrolled her in the Young N Gifted choir at 10, where she found her voice and confidence. A passionate live performer, Monifé has shared her music at venues like Kindred and Rough Trade. Her personal connection to music - using it to lift her spirits and channel emotions is exactly what drives her to create songs that resonate deeply with listeners.

We have big news! Construction for Chroma has officially begun after over a year of design work and planning...

Chroma is creating London’s first dedicated centre for LGBTQ+ performing arts, a space where creativity, community, and innovation thrive.

🔨The first stage involves demolishing the brickwork at one end of each arch, then installing energy-efficient double glazing to bring natural light into both arches.

Once complete, the full internal fit-out will begin, with construction wrapping up in March 2027.

🎭 Chroma's heart is a flexible, sound-proofed, 140 seat auditorium, which will be a platform for LGBTQ+ artists in theatre, dance, spoken word, film and immersive arts.

💼 Plus: A 30-desk coworking space exclusively for LGBTQ+ businesses and a spacious cafe-bar run by an independent LGBTQ+ operator.

A massive thank you to and for making this vision a reality! 🙌

We are spotlighting our members, Acid Survivors Trust, who are putting on a FREE exhibition at The Truman Brewery! ✨

Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI) is hosting the Fashion Unveiled: Beauty & Devastation exhibition in London to showcase the devastating impact of acid violence while also celebrating survivors’ creativity, resilience, and economic empowerment. 💪🏽💖

About the Exhibition 🖼️
At the heart of the exhibition are two contrasting sets of garments that tell very different stories.

The first comprises garments handmade by Hamida, Ritah, and Mohammed—Ugandan survivors of acid attacks supported through ASTI’s tailoring programme. Their work tells a story of creativity, skill, and economic empowerment, showing how practical training can help survivors earn an income and rebuild their lives.

Alongside them are specially created distressed garments that look as if burnt by corrosive substances. These everyday pieces of clothing confront visitors with the destructive reality of acid violence and the lasting damage it can cause.

Displayed together, the collections create a powerful contrast, highlighting the creativity, skill, and hope embodied by the survivors’ vibrant handmade garments, in opposition to the devastation represented by the distressed pieces.

Save the dates and make sure you head down to check out this inspiring exhibition! 🚀
