HAPPY TUESDAY… and WOW what a day 😭😂🚀

👖 Our FIRST Repair Café with — deconstructing denim, learning new skills & giving old clothes a whole new life. Fabulous workshop! 🧵✂️♻️

🏺 Our FIRST ceramics session — FULL HOUSE and thoroughly enjoyed by all! 🏺🙌🏼

💻 Meetings on meetings for KB… 👀 watch this space because some VERY exciting news might just be brewing! 🚀

🫶🏼 FOUR big IAG cases dealt with today — 2 x homelessness, an immigration appeal & a succession case. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 the outcomes for those residents now follow.

Advice, support, signposting, advocacy… you name it, apparently we do it 😂💁🏻‍♀️

🎨 Then the kids rolled in for their own pottery session — mess, giggles, snacks & masterpieces in progress 😂🏺🍪 Watch this space for the big reveal next week!

🦟 And we finished the day with Mossies Workshop No.2 — another brilliant resident insight session feeding lived experience into research & public health.

And then a resident said this today… 🥹❤️

“I love this hub so much. It’s the best one in Hackney. The work you do here & you guys are amazing… all our community centres should be like this!”

WE COULDN’T AGREE MORE 😂❤️

And alongside so many brilliant colleagues running hubs across Hackney — we know this job is basically TEN JOBS IN ONE 😭😂

We’re essentially pub landladies without the pub 🍻😂 — we know everyone, hear everything, solve problems, connect people, create community & somehow keep the whole thing moving.

Because local community spaces absolutely SHOULD sit at the heart of every estate and every neighbourhood. ❤️🏡

Super proud of ours tonight. 🥹🚀

COPRODUCTION & SUNSETS 🌅💥

Mondays at the CoHub really said FULL SEND today 😂🚀

🏓 Ping Pong = PACKED
💛 Our brand new London Fields OA Group = 35 PEOPLE at session ONE!! 😭💥 Come onnnnn!
🧘‍♀️ T’ai Chi = 14 strong - Daniele’s Angels reporting for duty 😂😇

And then into the first of our Mosquito Focus Groups 🦟🗣️ - working with Queen’s University Belfast & government public health partners to bring resident voice directly into research and decision-making.

Because alongside crisis support and activities for days 😂, a huge part of our work is resident engagement & coproduction with system partners. Our jumper journey is simple: support people when they’re in crisis, but also create routes for lived experience to travel upstream - into services, operations and policy. 💡🤝 Fix what isn’t working at system level and, ultimately, fewer people should reach crisis in the first place. THAT’S the work. 💥

And after a very long day… locked up to this absolute beauty outside 🌅😍 Hackney showing off again.

Tomorrow: 🧵 TrueBlue Repair Café 🎨 Ceramics 🖌️ Kids Crafty Tuesdays 🦟 Mossies Round 2.

We go againnnn 🚀😂❤️

FUNDING SECURED. £18K RESIDENT DEBT CLEARED. £200 RAISED.
Not bad for a Friday 😂🎩🎩🎩✨

After having cameras on us all day 🎥🎬 we’re ending the week with another CoHub GOOD NEWS HAT TRICK! ❤️🔥

💛 1. GRANT WIN! 💰🙌🏼
HUGE thanks to for awarding us multi-year funding for our support services & Information, Advice Guidance work! 🥹

Our IAG work is rooted in crisis resilience - not just helping someone through an immediate problem, but looking at what caused the crisis, what else is going on and finding longer-term solutions that help stop people ending up right back there again. ❤️‍🩹➡️💪🏼

We’ve delivered most of this unfunded throughout Year 1 with some remarkable outcomes for residents, so having the quality and value of that work recognised AND invested in feels pretty special. ❤️

Next stop… becoming Accredited Advice Providers! 👀📚🔥

🏠 2. RESIDENT WIN! 🥹❤️
A lovely older couple referred by our buddies came to us with around £18K of housing & Council Tax debt.

ONE MONTH later… debts cleared, everything resolved AND they’re now around £100 in credit! 😭🙌🏼

Our resident burst into tears, a Board member gave them a huge hug and we all shared a proper little moment. 🥹❤️

The magic of the CoHub. ✨

👗 3. CLOSET CAR B***Y! 🛍️
Another success - around 25/30 people through and £200 raised towards Closet running costs! 🙏🏼

PLUS 8 huge sacks of end-of-season summer stock are heading to Africa through one of our lovely customers. 🌍☀️ Absolutely NOTHING wasted around here 😂♻️ She was delighted. More hugs. Apparently we’re a hugging establishment now. 😭😂🤗

All that alongside a busy CAB, Zumba & Food Pantry Friday because apparently quiet Fridays aren’t our thing. 😂💃🏻🥫

Happy weekend guys - we are DONEEEEE! 😂🙌🏼❤️

24/09/2026

📸✨ Something a little bit special happening at the CoHub tomorrow…

Legendary East End documentary photographer Sarah Ainslie is coming to photograph our very own KB for her upcoming WOMEN AT WORK exhibition 🥹❤️

Sarah has spent decades documenting working women across the East End - capturing the graft, the stories and the women behind them - so having our little resident-led CoHub become part of that story feels pretty bloody special 🙌🏼📸

And there’s a film maker coming to capture the whole thing too 🎥😭😂

All while a completely normal quiet Friday happens around them…

Obviously joking. It’s FriYAY duhhhh 🤣👇🏼

⚖️ CAB 10-1
👗 Closet Car B***y 12-3
💃🏼 Zumba 1-2
🥫 Food Pantry Friday 2-3

Photography. Film crew. CAB. Car B***y. Zumba. Pantry.

Just another calm day at the CoHub then 😭🤣🔥

WOMEN AT WORK launches this November at Four Corners Gallery. ❤️📸

🍂🎨 CRAFTY TUESDAYS KIDS ARE BACKKKKK! 🎨🍂

And apparently they missed us because there were LOTS of hugs 🥹❤️, LOTS of chaos 😭😂, paint absolutely EVERYWHERE 🎨🤣 and some gorgeous little autumn creations to start decorating the Hub 🍁🍂🧡

Our crafty crew got straight to work making autumn trees, getting messy, eating fruit and generally causing the exact level of creative mayhem we’ve been missing 😂🙌🏼

Although Little Mo clearly didn’t get the autumn memo and went straight past September, October AND the leaves and chose HALLOWEEN 🖤😭😂😂😂

Honestly… look at that painting. Little Man said forget autumn, we’re entering spooky season immediately. 🖤🎃👻💀🤣

So lovely having our little people back in the building 🥹🫶🏼🍂

Crafty Tuesdays are officially BACK! 🎨✂️🍁❤️
