Friends of Grays Town Park

Friends of Grays Town Park We are now hoping to return the park back to being 'the jewel in the crown'.

Grays Town Park was given to the people of Thurrock in 1887, after being used as a quarry for making bricks and was the first public leisure facilioty in the area.

Thank you to my lovely sister and bbil for coming to my aid as soon as was called: and stayed with me right till we got home from hospital 💐💐

For those who dont know what happened.
Mum passed out over the park cafe yesterday-Sunday, fell off chair onto tarmac floor; Cut her head open, massive bump.she is 93 yrs young.
After waiting an hour ish? for the ambulance we decided to take her to hospital ourselves. So shes had lots of test done, one being a CT which showed all clear. Blood results wasnt back. Had a couple of staples in head wound. The consultant thinks its probably her heart rhythm, Arythmia.
So she was allowed home, we got in 7.30pm ish .
Got to keep an eye on her, always do.
If happens again to get her back for a review. Also want her to wear the 24 hour black box to check for Arythmia's.
All started with mum wanting to go over for a coffee and take Tia before it got past mid-day and to hot.

💔 Can our community help? 💔

We’ve been contacted by a local mum whose 13-year-old son’s bike was stolen yesterday evening (around 7pm) from Grays Town Park.

He had left his bike beside the swings while he was on them with a friend. Someone took the bike and rode off. The young lad chased after them as far as the basketball court but sadly couldn’t catch up.

It’s incredibly upsetting that this happened to a child enjoying time with his friend, and in our park, we’re hoping the power of our community might help. The park was very busy at that time with people enjoying this good weather.

The bike is a black Carrera mountain bike with blue Carrera lettering, similar to the one pictured below.

🚲 If you saw anything around 7pm in Grays Town Park, or if you’ve seen a bike matching this description being offered for sale locally, please send us a private message 🙏🏻

Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. Let’s see if we can help reunite this young man with his bike. ❤️
