Come clubbing with MSU this Easter! We’re heading to the iconic Ministry of Sound for a BIG night out you don’t want to miss 🪩
Expect 4 rooms of music — from Hip Hop and House to Techno, KPOP & more — so there’s something for everyone.
We’ll be starting the night with pre-drinks at 7PM (location TBC), before heading to the venue together.

Recap of our Year of the Fire Horse Tsagaan Sar Celebration! From sharing traditional food to spending time with friends old and new, it was amazing to see our community come together.

Thank you to the Embassy of Mongolia in the UK, the Association of Mongolian Women in the UK, the Goat Mongolian Kitchen & Lounge, the UK Mongolian Wrestling Society, and Ulzii Saina for their support in making this event possible. You’re invited to MSU’s Annual Tsagaan Sar Celebration 🤍

Join us as we celebrate the Mongolian Lunar New Year with a day full of tradition, delicious food, and community spirit.

Enjoy buuz, niislel salad, fun games, and special moments together as we welcome the new year. Traditional Mongolian clothing is warmly encouraged if you have one.

After the main event, we’ve booked a Mongolian pub for those who’d like to continue the celebrations with us.

🌑What is Tsagaan Sar (Цагаан сар)?

Tsagaan Sar, also known as the Mongolian Lunar New Year or White Moon, marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring renewal. Rooted in nomadic traditions, Tibetan Buddhism, and family values, it is a time to start the year with purity, respect, and positive energy.

The name “White Moon” comes from the symbolism of white foods (dairy) — representing purity, prosperity, and new beginnings.

The MSU was founded in 2023 under the slogan “Together we thrive!”, and our mission is to foster unity and enhance communication among young Mongolians residing and studying in the UK. We provide a platform for Mongolian students and young people to connect, share experiences, and support one another in their personal, academic, and professional journeys.
