In 2025, 3,090 people died trying to reach Spain. They died during their search for safety

🗣️ Helena from our partner tells us about the heartbreaking findings in their ‘Monitoring The Right to Life’ report.

In 2025, people from 30 countries lost their lives trying to reach Spain. They were fleeing conflict, persecution and climate disaster.

Harsh migration policies are forcing more people into attempting dangerous routes.

Caminando Fronteras work hand-in-hand with people and communities on the move to demand safe routes and compassionate policies.

They have helped save hundreds of thousands of lives on the western Euro-African border. We are so proud to partner with such an important organisation, especially as governments turn their back on refugees and people seeking asylum.

Refugees are people not politics. Every person deserves safety.

🗣️This is a video from one of the rescue teams at our incredible partner

CompassCollective are a group of activists that use their sailing boat TROTAMAR ||| to rescue displaced people in distress in the Mediterranean.

During a rescue in December, the engine of a boat carrying people seeking safety failed.

The people on board had no life-saving equipment on board and were stuck in distress.

They called on the Maltese and Italian authorities to rescue the boat but no one came. As darkness fell and the situation became dangerous, they rescued everyone on board and took them to Lampedusa.

No one should be forced into dangerous journeys to find safety.

At a time when governments are turning their backs and criminalising people seeking asylum, our partners like CompassCollective continue to show love, compassion and humanity.

This is the moment an Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in Beirut, Lebanon this morning.

1 million people have been displaced in Lebanon in recent weeks as the result of Israeli airstrikes.

1 million people have been forced to flee their homes, leaving everything behind as it turns to rubble.

Our partners in Lebanon are responding on the ground, supporting displaced communities with food, water and medical supplies.

But they need your support. Donate now to provide people with humanitarian essentials as this crisis continues to escalate.

Right now, all donations are doubled up to £50,000, so please give what you can.

We urge international leaders to uphold International Humanitarian Law, and use their positions to de-escalate ongoing hostilities before more lives are destroyed.

Stop bombing civilians.

3.2 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DISPLACED IN IRAN

We are horrified by the US-Israeli airstrikes across Iran, which have forced 3.2 million people to leave their homes in search of safety. More than 1,300 people have been killed. Schools and hospitals are being targeted.

- We stand against the oppressive and brutal regime that the Iranian people have been living under for decades.
- We stand against the bombing of civilians, schools and hospitals.
- We stand against the violation of International Law.

It is always local communities, families and children who pay the biggest price of war.

We urge international leaders to use their positions to de-escalate ongoing hostilities before more lives are destroyed and uphold International Humanitarian Law.

We stand with the people of Iran, and their right for freedom and safety.

Ramadan in Gaza

During the holy month, our incredible partner has been stepping up their support for Palestinians.

In particular, they are supporting orphans in Gaza through their Noor program, providing sustainable care for children whose parents have been killed during the genocide.

This Ramadan they have provided thousands of food vouchers, hot meals, drinking water and daily Iftar meals for disadvantaged families.

Israel’s blockade is leaving severe shortages of humanitarian aid, from food to medicine, making this support even more vital.

Taawon is doing everything they can, providing a moment of hope and respite in the face of such horror.

Please support their lifesaving work by donating to our Love Palestine appeal. Comment ‘Choose Love’ on this post and we will send you a link. Please give what you can.
