The studio is where all the work gets put in — multiple corrections, early mornings, days when nothing feels like it’s working but you show up and do it anyway.

But at some point the studio isn’t enough on its own.

There are things you can only learn in front of a live audience. And giving our young dancers those opportunities — to perform in real productions on real stages — is at the heart of everything we do at DBDF.

This July our dancers are taking to the stage at the Marylebone Theatre. Two nights, a live audience, and a moment every single one of them has worked incredibly hard for.

If you’d like to help make moments like this possible, we’d love your support. 🖤

We know we don’t always shout about it loudly enough…

So here it is,
everything the Du Boisson Dance Foundation actually does for young dancers at West London School of Dance and London Vocational Ballet School:

🩰 Funds bursaries so talented young dancers never have to stop because of money

🎭 Covers production fees, uniforms and dance shoes, the costs that add up fast

🌟 Brings world class professionals into the room with young dancers, completely free!!

🎶 Gives every supported dancer the chance to perform to a live audience, because stage experience is part of the training

✨Builds a community that believes access to dance is a right, not a privilege

This is what your donation makes possible.

Every single penny goes directly to a young dancer who has earned their place in the room.

We don’t often stop to look back at how far we’ve come,

But this felt like the right moment ✨

Anna has spent years building a space at where ballet is genuinely for everyone, warm, encouraging and supportive. And alongside that, the Du Boisson Dance Foundation has been quietly doing the work of making sure the young dancers who need this world most are never priced out of it.

Two spaces. One shared belief. That dance belongs to everyone who wants it.

Swipe to see what we’ve built — and where we’re going next…

This is what it looks like when the current generation gives back to the next one, a huge thanks to

A Royal Ballet Principal in a room full of young dancers who are just getting started, sharing not just technique, but the mindset, the belief, the things you can only learn from someone who has actually lived it at the highest level.

This is at the heart of everything DBDF does. Creating the moments where the gap between where these young dancers are and where they could go suddenly feels a lot smaller.

Because the future of ballet is in this room. And it’s in very good hands 🤝💫

didn’t just teach steps on Sunday…

He taught these young dancers how to believe in themselves before they’d even moved.

Watching him talk about visualisation, about the power of seeing yourself do something before your body has caught on was a moment these young dancers will hold with them forever.

Because technique will take you a long way, but having confidence in what you are doing will take you further.

These are the experiences we want to give to the never generation of young dancers 👯‍♂️

Thank you Steven🖤

This weekends classes with Royal Ballet Principal are fully booked 🩰✨

Every spot taken. The waiting list growing. And honestly — we couldn’t be more proud.

Because this is exactly what happens when you remove the financial barrier. When you say to families — your son doesn’t need to audition, doesn’t need to pay, doesn’t need to be anything other than a young person who wants to dance — they show up.

They always show up.

This is what DBDF exists to prove. That the demand is there. That the talent is there. That boys who dance deserve the same access to world class training as anyone else — and that when you create that space, something really special happens.

Sunday 24th May is going to be one of those days. 🖤
