Our Tadmur cushion cover takes its name from the Arabic for Palmyra, an ancient and breath-takingly beautiful Syrian city in the desert, which as been heartbreakingly damaged during the conflict.

We have just one left in stock of the design, inspired by the embroidery of the Bedouin people who called Tadmur home. This incredible city, and the rich lives and traditions of those who lived within it, are yet another casualty of the conflict. Through the Tadmur cushion, we honour and preserve this vanishing heritage in our own small way.

SYRIA: Recipes From Home is a very special book, serving up delicious traditional recipes alongside stories of what they mean to the people who shared them.

The authors, Itab Azzam and Dina Mousawi, both Syrian women, travelled around, cooking and learning from people displaced from their land about their favourite dishes, and their personal significance.

It’s a love letter to Syria, to the joy of eating with family and friends, and the perfect inspiration for long meals of your own. A portion of each sale, when purchased via our website, goes to our makers.

We hope you are inspired to make some new dishes, and memories 🍽️

These are our handmade rabbits and dinos making themselves at home in their new beds - and here are some of the displaced children of the women who make them, playing while their mothers crochet at the Oshana centre in Beirut.

Every time you buy one of our lovable teds, we gift a toy to a Syrian or Palestinian refugee child, many of whom have no playthings at all.

As with all Oshana purchases, 100 per cent of the profits of the sale goes to the displaced women who make them, helping them to support their families.

We have been working hard behind the scenes 🌷

Against the backdrop of the ongoing bombardment, at our studio in Beirut, our Oshana elders train women displaced from Syria, Lebanon and Palestine to become highly-skilled artisans using traditional embroidery and crochet techniques.

We are proud to share our shiny new website where you can find out more about our work, and buy their homewares, clothing and accessories, which we sell on their behalf - with our makers taking home 100 per cent of the profits.

Each piece is handmade, unique, and every sale helps our women stitch their lives back together 🤍

Missing Glastonbury? Find comfort with a truly beautiful hand-embroidered cushion cover (final pic), based on the line-up poster our artisans were commissioned to hand-stitch for the festival’s The Park stage (pic 1).

The design incorporates traditional Palestinian motifs ((examples featured in pic 3), and every piece supports displaced our Syrian, Palestinian and Lebanese makers - with 100 per cent of the profits going to these wonderful women.
