When a parent serves, children can carry worries of their own.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re recognising the feelings that can come with military life...from missing a parent serving away to moving home, changing schools and building new friendships.

Our Little Troopers Therapy Programme gives military children a safe space to explore those feelings, feel heard and develop ways to manage difficult moments.

Supported by the The National Lottery Community Fund and delivered with Broad Horizons the programme will benefit more than 1,000 children over three years.

Behind that number are children gaining tools to help them navigate military life and families knowing they have somewhere to turn.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland, we're coming to see you!

Little Troopers is coming to Scotland this October and we'd love you to join us!

Lots of you completed our online survey over the summer about the proposed expansion of the Little Troopers Therapy Programme into Scotland. We listened to everything you told us and now we want to build on that feedback by involving you in shaping what dedicated therapeutic support for military children and young people in Scotland could look like.

We're hosting two relaxed and informal focus group sessions where military parents and carers can come along, enjoy a cuppa, meet Louise and Debbie from the Little Troopers team and share their experiences, ideas and thoughts about the support military children need and how our Therapy Programme could help.

Wednesday 21st October | 9:30am – 11:30am

📍 LOSSIEMOUTH
Thursday 22nd October | 9:30am – 11:30am

We'll also be exploring the specific needs of submarine families during our Helensburgh session.

From military childhood to TV stardom in Bridgerton and Good Omens!

British actress Shelley Conn grew up in different countries while her dad served in the British Army.

Today, her career spans stage and screen, including roles in some of our best-loved television series.

A wonderful example of where life can take our little troopers and the exciting futures they can build.
