What a Monday! ⚽

Today we kicked off a week of Little Troopers All Together Football Adventure Days, with military children joining us for brilliant events at AFC Bournemouth and Norwich City FC and there’s lots more football fun to come at clubs across the country this week!

These days are about so much more than football.

The children might arrive not knowing anyone, but they all share an understanding of what it’s like to grow up as a military child. For some, this summer might mean having a parent deployed overseas. For others, it might mean a house move, leaving friends behind or getting ready to start a brand-new school in September.

Our Adventure Days give little troopers the chance to spend time with other children who just get it, have lots of fun, build new friendships and make some really special memories together.

Some military children face more in a few years than many do in a lifetime.

For eight-year-old Isabella, life has meant growing up with two open-heart surgeries, countless hospital appointments, moving homes and schools, and missing her dad who’s serving in the British Army.

Yet through every challenge, she has remained full of smiles, kindness and determination.

Isabella’s family said: “She has taken everything in her stride and Birmingham Children’s Hospital has become her second home, but she continues to smile and be her cheeky, beautiful self despite everything she has had to endure.”

“It hasn’t always been easy when Dad has been away with work and we’ve had to move schools and homes.

“She has done it all like a true little trooper and we are so proud of her bravery, strength and resilience.

“Isabella is our sunshine and our little star."

We’ve had a few spaces become available due to cancellations for our Royal Hospital Chelsea intergenerational workshop and tour next week!

Suitable for military children aged 5–11 years from serving Armed Forces families.

A lovely opportunity to visit the Royal Hospital Chelsea, meet the Chelsea Pensioners and take part in a special intergenerational workshop together.

Last day to apply!

Today is the final day to apply for our last Family Reconnection Weekend of 2026.

We’re heading to Swanage for the first time for a weekend of outdoor adventure, quality family time, making memories and connecting with other military families who understand the ups and downs of military life.

Open to serving military families with children in Year 4+.

A huge well done to Erin from North Yorkshire who raised a fantastic £61.00 for Little Troopers by organising a non-uniform day at her school.
She even made her own brilliant poster to advertise the event.

The Little Troopers Therapy Programme is helping military children across the UK navigate the unique challenges of forces life.

From deployments and separation to moving home, changing schools and disrupted routines, the Therapy Programme, which is made possible thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, will provide specialist, face-to-face therapeutic support to more than 1,000 military children and young people.

This makes us extremely proud.
