We're delighted that our Chief Executive Kate Stephens, and founding Youth Advisory Board (YAB) Chair Sara Yasin have been recognised with purple seats at Edgbaston, as two of 53 women being celebrated by the ECB during the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup. 🏏

Kate’s message to women and girls is simple: cricket can nurture your talent, your potential and your voice, and there is a space for you both on and off the pitch.

Sara's determined to ensure young people can experience cricket, so they uncover the sense of belonging and opportunities it brings. As our founding YAB Chair, she's been influential in shaping our programmes to help us create real, lasting change.

Last year 51% of Chance to Shine participants were girls - that's just over 300,000. Now, we're so excited to inspire thousands more young people to take up the sport heading into this landmark World Cup.💛

Before 2025, cricket was largely absent at The Crescent Academy, a 700 pupil primary school in Stoke-on-Trent.

That all changed when Chance to Shine coaches from Staffordshire Cricket intervened. Not only did the pupils benefit, but 55 staff members also received training through the programme. 🚀

Now, children reach for a bat and ball in the playground, and staff have embedded cricket into the PE curriculum.

There's a culture of cricket at The Crescent Academy, with pupils becoming leaders, learning resilience, and supporting one another through cricket. 🏏

One of our fantastic young cricketers, Arya, takes Jodie Ounsley aka Fury through some cricketing skills, so she can become a Confident Catcher and Brilliant Bowler! 💪

Arya only started playing the sport when Chance to Shine visited her school. Her love of the game has seen her go on to join her local club, enabling her to now play for Kent’s Development Pathway after a successful trial🏏

Hopefully, we’ll see Arya in an England shirt one day, emulating the Women’s Cricket Team at the World Cup this summer…

The Big Give Campaign is LIVE!

Did you know that children swapping just 15 minutes of daily screen time for outdoor play would see an estimated 300,000 additional primary school pupils reach healthy activity levels, with lifelong benefits to themselves and society.

Ahead of the start of the T20 Women's World Cup, we're giving you the opportunity to DOUBLE YOUR DONATIONS through the Big Give so girls and boys can fulfil their potential through cricket.

To all those who supported the delivery of our Schools World Cup Day at Lord's - thank you, truly.

We're wishing a huge thank you to all the female professional cricket coaches who came from across the country so every single child had an inspirational individual to look up to, and be supported by, during a joyous day at Lord's.

Participating in a landmark World Cup themed day, the fantastic female coaches brilliantly guided participants through drills and ensured the whole day ran smoothly.

Alongside Jodie Ounsley, aka Fury from Gladiators, the team of coaches set an important example for each and every child playing, demonstrating the enormously positive impact that participating in cricket sport can have for women and girls. 🚀

We're determined to inspire the next generation of female cricketers, which is why we're so proud that 51% of our participants were girls last year.
