The National Street Finals could not be possible without each and every Street cricketer giving all their enthusiasm, determination and excitement to the competition.

Young people are at the core of everything we do. Without them, Chance to Shine simply would not exist in the way it does.

A huge thank you to them, and all of the coaches dedicated to guiding young people across the country, and developing their skills, both for cricket and for life.

We're so proud to give children the chance to play cricket so they can learn and develop a love for the game.

We've had a magical third day of our National Street Finals, as we welcomed 19 teams to battle it out for the U15 and U12 competitions. 🏏

Street is all about developing teamwork, resilience, and leadership for participants, and there was all of that on display toda

Durham Young Asian Voices U15 and Cricket East U12s were deserved champions, but every single participant played in wonderful competitive spirit, putting their batting, bowling and fielding to the test.

Our Young Adults were in fine form for day two of the National Street Cricket Finals.

All eighteen teams showcased excellent teamwork, leadership, and resilience throughout the day, alongside some outstanding cricketing talent.

In total we saw:
4,948 runs
209 wickets
48 games

Blackburn came out victorious as our Young Adults National Street Champions, playing in a high intensity final against Bristol Street Club.

Well done for all 131 cricketers, who represented their clubs so brilliantly.

Chance to Shine's 2026 National Street Finals officially got underway today with the girls competition. 🚀

200 Street cricketers from 20 teams around the country were welcomed to Nottingham to showcase their cricket skills, develop core teamwork and leadership skills, and battle it out to become Girls National Street Cricket Champions.

Over the course of the day we had:
🏏38 games played
🏏102 wickets taken
🏏3636 runs scored

A huge congratulations to Blackburn U12s and Moseley U15s, our new Girls National Street Champions, and to each and every team for playing with excellent competitive spirit.

Thank you also to Pakistan captain Fatima Sana for making the day that extra bit special. She didn't stop signing autographs, taking photos and chatting to all the girls, hopefully inspiring them to continue their cricketing pursuits.

From Edinburgh to Exeter, our free Street clubs give young people a safe space to make friends, build community and develop lifelong physical and social skills. 📍

Using a place-based approach grounded in data from the Index for Multiple Deprivation, we determine the areas where children are most in need. As a result, 9 in 10 of our clubs are based in the most deprived areas of England and Wales and are positioned where an existing affordable cricket offering is lacking.

Street cricket makes the sport accessible, giving young people, no matter what their background, a space to learn a love for the sport while developing wider social skills which they can take through life.

For brothers Oli and Oscar, Street cricket has been the perfect introduction to the game. 🚀

Having never played the sport before, they both started at Haringey Youth Street club. Now, Oli has represented his club at the Chance to Shine Regional Finals, with Oscar waiting the wings.

They’ve both developed as cricketers and core leadership and teamworking skills for life.

Our 302 Street clubs are more than just a place for young people to play cricket. 🏏

The clubs offer a vital community space where young people in some of the most deprived areas across England, Scotland and Wales can feel safe and supported.

Free to access, weekly sessions are designed to intertwine key leadership and communication skills alongside core cricket principles, whilst placing fun and enjoyment at the heart of the sessions.

With our National Street Finals coming up next week, young people can test the skills they've learnt, and get competitive in a positive, friendly environment.
