Year 1 of our Jack Petchey Awards Jack Petchey Foundation programme was a huge success! 🎉
This year, we awarded 9 young people access to £300 each to turn their ideas into activities, trips and projects that would benefit other young people across the centre. With the help of youth workers Betsy and Sam, they were able to plan and deliver their ideas at the centre.
Some of the activities they chose to deliver were…
🏎️ Go karting trip
🎳 Bowling event
🔍 Scavenger hunt
🎲 Board games social
🎮 Games room improvements
🏓 Ping pong coaching & tournament
⚒️ Trip to West Ham Stadium
✨ Plus much more!
What makes these awards special is that they put young people in the driving seat, giving them the chance to create opportunities that bring others together, build confidence and make our youth centre an even better place to be.
All attendees are also invited to the celebration event in October ✅
A huge congratulations to all of our award recipients. We can’t wait to see what Year 2 brings! 💙
