It’s good to be back in Catalonia
It’s been 30 years since we drove our double-decker through the Pyrenees mountains on those wild winding roads.
It was wonderful parking up by the lighthouse and making our way down for our first swims in the Mediterranean Sea. So clear, cool and intoxicating.
We travelled all down the Costa Brava parking by small coves and cliff tops before getting to a circus festival in Tarragona.
We loved the relaxed Spainish festivals where you could park up in the centre of towns and be warmly welcomed.
The music and wine lasting throughout the long nights, followed by lazy days in pools or on beaches.
And sleeping was never really an option with no air on and sweltering heat that can only be placated by swims.
What took me so long to return to this beautiful part of Spain.
