Update - Wandsworth Artists' Open House will be taking place in October 2026!

We are excited to announce that, after Putney School of Art & Design heard that Wandsworth Artists’ Open House could not go ahead as a borough-wide event this year due to lack of funding, they, with support from Enable and Sprout Arts, came up with a plan to coordinate a smaller-scale non-digital 2026 event!

Registration deadline is just 2 weeks away - 15th June so do register asap if you want to take part. Remember, you can show your work from your home, studio, local cafes or businesses so if you don't want to show from your home, do talk to alternative venues in case they would be happy to display your work.

Our Summer Showcase exhibition opens today at 11am. Join us for drinks and to meet the artists from 6-8pm this evening (Tuesday 2nd June).
The exhibition is open 11-5 every day until Saturday 13th June.

We have more than 60 artists taking part this year showing paintings, prints, illustrations and drawings, photography, glass and ceramics!

Workshops coming up in June!

Creative Visible Mending Workshop:
Learn a mending technique and save your clothes from landfill. Lucille Acevedo-Jones, a costume designer maker and sustainability advocate, will lead this workshop in creative mending and free-form embroidery. She is passionate about inspiring people to make sustainable choices and keep their clothes out of landfill. Suitable for anyone, whether you have been sewing for years or are yet to pick up a needle and thread. Bring an item of clothing you would like to mend: there will be an array of tools, materials, sample pieces and books available to inspire you. Lucille will guide and advise you in your choice of mending technique which could include: darning, patching, free form embroidery, sashiko and boro.

Mindful practice of Water Calligraphy.
You are invited to join Ms Carry Hornby for a relaxing morning. The gentle movement eases you into the world of Mindful Water Calligraphy and, following the guidance of Ms Carry, you will explore this ancient art and learn the beauty of brush strokes. It leaves you feeling refreshed and relaxed. At the end of the session, you will do some gentle stretches before taking part in some tea tasting.

We're excited to welcome back Magdalena Del Mar with her latest exhibition celebrating both her ten-year anniversary with Sprout Arts and the milestone of her very first solo exhibition here in 2016.
Open Tuesday 19th - Saturday 30th May (Closed Sunday & Monday).
Magdalena Del Mar is a visual artist who has been based in London for the past 20 years. Originally from Poland, she received her artistic education and gained her early creative experience there. Magdalena exhibits her work regularly, combining her artistic practice with a deep interest in art therapy.

Her paintings are inspired by water-based landscapes, with harmonious shades of blue and green creating a calm and serene atmosphere. Through her work, Magdalena explores mindfulness and highlights the positive impact of art on mental well-being.
